Description

Purple Land Management (PLM) is seeking experienced Lease Buyer Landmen for active projects in Bowie and Cass Counties, Texas, and Miller County, Arkansas. Applicants may reside in or near any of these locations. The individual will be responsible for conducting contact efforts and lease negotiations with landowners in order to acquire leases and prepare for possible renewable energy in the area where the property is located. Applicants local to the project area will be strongly preferred. Company Description Purple Land Management, LLC (“Purple”) is one of the nation’s largest tech-enabled provider of land services that negotiates the buying, selling, and leasing of mineral rights, determines and cures title, prepares mineral ownership reports, and performs other related services required for oil and gas operators to drill and produce wells.  Overdrive, Purple’s proprietary software-as-a-service (“SaaS”), allows customers to track lease, well, and contract data in a web-based geographic information system (“GIS”) mapping platform powered by ESRI, a leader in GIS mapping software.  Based in Fort Worth, Texas, and founded in 2010, Purple has the financial support of Satori Capital, a Texas-based multi-strategy investment firm founded upon the principles of conscious capitalism.  Satori’s private equity business partners with leadership teams of companies that operate with a long-term perspective, commit to their mission or purpose, and create value for all stakeholders. Responsibilities Work independently to establish contact with multiple landowners across multiple counties/states. Establish a positive rapport with multiple landowners to facilitate a positive working relationship. Travel and meet with landowners as needed to successfully negotiate and secure lease agreements, including but not limited to, the landowner’s property. Negotiate surface/sub-surface leases on behalf of clients. Educate landowners on the scope of the project including, but not limited to, lease terms and conditions, timing, procedures, and financial arrangements Provide daily updates to an internal database for review by Project Managers and clients. Provide progress reports to Project Managers and/or clients on the status of their negotiations and contact efforts with landowners. Prepare Lease Purchase Reports containing the executed lease agreement and other necessary documents related to the transaction. Conduct supplemental/limited title research in the subject courthouses to confirm the surface/sub-surface interests of the landowners. Qualifications Minimum of three years of experience in negotiating leases, outside sales, or property sale agreements. Previous oil and gas, energy or renewable energy negotiation preferred. Active AAPL membership. Proficiency in Google Workspace, specifically, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive. Intermediate familiarity with basic computer applications, including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of professionalism and ethical standards. Significant travel may be required.
