work experience</li><li>Basic familiarity with hand and power tools, instrumentation, and automotive systems and components</li><li>Machine shop, machine tools, wood working tools</li><li>Demonstrated familiarity with automotive systems, Data acquisition and instrumentation</li><li>Material testing laboratory experience</li></ul><p><strong>Skills Required</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision&nbsp;</li><li>Above average verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in technical presentation and writing of technical reports</li><li>Proficient with mathematical, CAD and office productivity software on multiple OS platforms</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude</li></ul><p><strong>Skills Preferred</strong></p><ul><li>Advanced proficiency with MATLAB, AutoCAD, Excel, and programming languages</li><li>Proficient with vehicle EDR imaging procedures</li><li>Significant knowledge of motor vehicle systems</li><li>Experience with FEA software ABAQUS or similar</li></ul><p><strong>Education Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in mechanical or automotive engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school (required)</li><li>P.E. license (preferred);
