    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Ironworker Journeyman</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>SUMMARY </strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Mortenson is currently seeking an <strong>Ironworker Journeyman </strong>that will be responsible for marking, positioning, and securing structural steel members to reinforce concrete or building structures.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Set up, flag, and inspect a crane; inspect rigging properly&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Run a site level; check in truck deliveries against bill of lading&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Count bars and bundles of rebar, dobies, and wire mesh; direct forklift/crane to unload delivery truck&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Shake out rebar, distribute/organize accordingly; use pliers to tie rebar intersections with tie wire&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Splice mats or rebar sections together with short rebar dowels; cut excess rebar ends and miscellaneous pieces with gas cut saw or cutting torch&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Install mechanical rebar splices by bolting or welding ends together; install caps on vertical rebar dowels for safety&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Determine number, size, shape, and location of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions; bend steel rods with hand tools or rod bending machine&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Reinforce concrete with wire mesh; install prefabricated ornamental ironwork&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Receive and offload all major components; install loose components for nacelle, hub, and tower preparation&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Connect blades to hub; set base and tower sections; handle taglines&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assist with main erection crane assembly and teardown; climb ladders (average 80m)&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels&nbsp;</li>\n <li>All other duties as assigned&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Minimum three (3) years of related experience&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must have passed the Apprentice Aptitude Test&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, &amp; multiplication)&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Strong teamwork orientation; detail orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements&nbsp;</li>\n <li>*Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Please note: this position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
