Middle Ave, San Martin, CA 95046 <strong></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are looking for a skilled and empathetic <strong>adolescent mental health therapist</strong> that wants to make a difference and be part of an amazing and growing team located in <strong>San Martin, CA, </strong>just outside of San Jose.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join us at Embark at our <strong>Short-term Residential Treatment Program</strong> in San Martin, where therapists offer guidance and support to adolescents and their families that include multi-modal family system approaches to amplify and solidify change.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Serving teen girls and boys (gender fluid) ages 12 – 17, experiencing and struggling with school refusal, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, suicidal ideation and other mental health issues. Pre-teens and teens reside at our Residential Treatment Center in our comfortable family-style residence, where community and interpersonal relationships are fostered and encouraged. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Facilitate Individual, Family, and Group Therapy</strong>: Conduct therapy sessions that integrate trauma-informed care and systemic approaches to create meaningful change in families.</li>\n <li><strong>Personalized Caseloads</strong>: Manage a focused caseload of no more than <strong>6 clients,</strong> providing high-quality, individualized care with a commitment to family programming and parent coaching.</li>\n <li><strong>Treatment Planning:</strong> Develop, implement, and regularly collaborate with interdisciplinary team on individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence‑based practices.</li>\n <li><strong>Crisis Intervention & De‑escalation:</strong> Utilize trauma‑informed de‑escalation strategies to support students in moments of heightened distress, promoting safety, emotional regulation, and restoration of therapeutic rapport. </li>\n <li><strong>Develop discharge plans</strong> for students, ensuring thorough review with both students and their family members.</li>\n <li><strong>Maintain compliance</strong> with treatment standards through meticulous & timely documentation of notes and adherence to MTP (Master Treatment Plan) standard requirements.</li>\n <li><strong>Cultural Competency</strong>: Apply developmentally appropriate and culturally competent care, addressing the unique psychological needs of each client.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required: </strong>Current California Licensure as one of the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)</li>\n <li>Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)</li>\n <li>Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Or: </strong>Registered Associate with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as one of the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)</li>\n <li>Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW)</li>\n <li>Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC)</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a state background check and drug test</li>\n <li>Candidates must be prepared to establish a CAQH profile and obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) as part of the onboarding process.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Two (2) years of working experience as a therapist leading individual, family, and group therapy sessions</li>\n <li>One year of experience working in a high acuity setting (intensive out-patient, residential, psychiatric hospital, eating disorder clinic, substance abuse clinic, etc., using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities</li>\n <li>For associate therapists (prefer 1000 hours completed), but not required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Access to an established Mastery Program that offers professional and financial opportunities for professional growth.</li>\n <li><strong>Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance</strong> – Multiple plan options including PPO and HDHPs with HSA eligibility and company contributions.</li>\n <li><strong>Paid Parental Leave</strong> – Up to 6 weeks fully paid for exempt employees and 4 weeks for non-exempt.</li>\n <li><strong>Life & Disability Coverage</strong> – Company-paid life, AD&D, and long-term disability; voluntary life and optional short-term disability available.</li>\n <li><strong>401(k) with Company Match</strong> – Retirement savings with matching contributions after eligibility period.</li>\n <li><strong>PTO & Holidays</strong> – Competitive PTO accrual plans and paid holidays throughout the year.</li>\n <li><strong>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</strong> – Free, confidential support for life’s challenges.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Embark is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.</strong> We are committed to enriching the therapeutic and healing experience we offer through the diversity of our employees and community.
