    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Field Safety Specialist to join our Transportation Sector. The Field Safety Specialist (FSS) is responsible for enforcing compliance with regulatory and contract requirements while directly observing, monitoring, and inspecting projects and activities conducted on Authority property. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Construction Office to inspect projects, activities, and facilities while administering various safety programs and initiatives. This position will provide guidance and oversight to contractors and consultants and will participate in the sharing of expert knowledge as a vital member of various project teams that may be instituted.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), and California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) requirements</li>\n <li>Perform safety reviews for applicable elements of construction related activities. Provides feedback and makes recommendations for improvements to project safety.</li>\n <li>Supports management of environmental health and safety programs as assigned including hazardous materials and respirator protection</li>\n <li>Develops recommendations regarding programs and procedures to reduce the frequency, severity, and cost of accidents, occupational illnesses, and eliminate or control potential hazards</li>\n <li>Facilitates and/or attends field safety and project meetings</li>\n <li>Serves as part of an on-call rotation to respond to incidents and emergency situations, may respond directly to incident site as needed in select situations</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 5 years of directly related experience in railroad, transportation operations, or construction/industrial safety</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of US federal, state, local, railroad and construction safety, operations, and maintenance procedures, standards, and practices</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to gather, organize, analyze, and present data to appropriate sources</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification</li>\n <li>Experience with transit, freight, or rail infrastructure safety and security programs</li>\n <li>Proficiency with safety management systems, data analysis tools, and reporting platforms</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Salary Range: $108,000 to $201,000 yearly</p>\n<p>Location: Wasco, CA</p>\n<p>Work Environment: Onsite</p>\n<h2>Our Company</h2>\n<p><strong>Cordoba Corporation, Making a Difference</strong></p>\n<p>Cordoba Corporation is a leading civil engineering, construction management, program management, and planning firm.
