    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Education-Senior Project/Construction Manager</strong></p>\n<p>Cordoba is looking for two Education experience construction managers with at least 15 years of experience in the field of project management managing K-14, Commercial, or Higher-Education projects, preferably California community college projects. The ideal individuals shall be well-rounded in Planning, Design Management, DSA permitting, Construction, and Closeout phases of the project life cycle.  The ideal candidates shall be client-facing and great communicators with various district stakeholders.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages, oversees and coordinates all facets of the pre-construction, bid and award, construction and close-out phase of all assigned projects in a Public Works environment.</li>\n <li>Reviews pre-construction documents and submits comments to Designer as necessary. Continually communicates with stakeholders to maintain periodic approvals.</li>\n <li>Plans, organizes, and prepares reports to upper management with respect to the status and/or progress of the projects.</li>\n <li>Coordinates with all pertinent public agencies during pre-construction and construction to comply with all off-site work, coordinates with various District and Project staff.</li>\n <li>Manages both the project budget and schedule to meet the district’s qualitative standards; monitors project budget on a monthly basis and ensures that the budget accurately reflects the project status/progress.</li>\n <li>Manages daily activities of the contractor, reviews contractors’ construction schedules and submittals, and coordinates responses to the contractors’ inquiries thru the Requests for Information (RFI) and other related documents.</li>\n <li>Reviews substitution submittals from contractors to ensure specification and/or District requirements are complied with.</li>\n <li>Receives, reviews, and negotiates Contractor Change Order Proposal(s) to achieve a fair & reasonable price in accordance with the General Conditions; reviews and addresses any and all Schedule impacts in accordance with the project specifications in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Reviews the process and monitors payments for the contractor, architects, engineers and any other pertinent parties.</li>\n <li>Administers provisions of Professional Service Agreements between Architects and the District</li>\n <li>Coordinates District delivery of related fixtures, furniture and equipment</li>\n <li>Monitors and manages project close-out with respect to project certification with the Division of State Architects (DSA) and project financial close out.</li>\n <li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Fifteen (15) years full time paid professional experience in Construction and/or a combination of Project and Construction Management of Commercial and/or Public/Educational Facility Construction.</li>\n <li>Five (5) of the fifteen (15) years should have full responsibility for coordinating complex projects with construction values in excess of $20M within a DSA (or equivalent) public works environment.</li>\n <li>DSA jurisdiction experience.</li>\n <li>OSHA certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Preferred Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Multiple delivery methods, including Design/Build, Design-Bid-Build, Lease-Leaseback, and other delivery methods for smaller make-ready projects.</li>\n <li>Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)</li>\n <li>Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management</li>\n <li>Graduation from a recognized college or university with a relevant bachelor’s degree plus an additonal 4 years of experience on top of the minimum 15 specified. Candidate may substitute the additional 4 years of experience with a valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Licenses and Certificates:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors</li>\n <li>A valid Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Salary Range</strong>: $165k to 180k/annually </p>\n<h2>Our Company</h2>\n<p>Cordoba Corporation is a nationally recognized civil engineering, construction management, program management, and planning firm.
