    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p><strong></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Acuren is currently recruiting for a NACE Level 2 Coatings Inspector, to support operations at the LNG site in Kitimat, BC!</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>If you are seeking a dynamic industrial environment with opportunities for individual growth and learning, this is for you.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Position Details:</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Site/Location:</strong> LNG in Kitimat, BC. Relocation is required!</p>\n<p><strong>Start Date:</strong> Immediate</p>\n<p><strong>Shift/Hours</strong>: 40 hrs./week and possible overtime</p>\n<p><strong>Hourly Rate:</strong> Up to $58.00/hr. depending on certifications and experience</p>\n<p><strong>Relocation:</strong> We are able to offer up to 3 months of temporary housing to assist with your relocation transition, if required.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform coating and corrosion inspections on piping, tanks, and structural steel in accordance with NACE/AMPP, CSA, and project specifications.</li>\n <li>Conduct surface preparation checks, environmental monitoring, DFT readings, adhesion testing, and holiday detection.</li>\n <li>Identify coating defects and non-conformance issues, and recommend corrective actions.</li>\n <li>Complete accurate inspection reports, daily logs, and turnover documentation.</li>\n <li>Ensure contractor compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and inspection hold points.</li>\n <li>Interpret drawings, specifications, and coating procedures to verify proper application.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with project teams and clients to support quality assurance and resolve issues.</li>\n <li>Maintain inspection tools, calibration records, and ensure safe work practices at all times.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>NACE Level 2 certification (AMPP Coating Inspector Program preferred).</li>\n <li>2+ years of coatings inspection experience in oil & gas or industrial environments.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of surface preparation standards, coating systems, and inspection methods (DFT, adhesion testing, holiday detection, environmental monitoring).</li>\n <li>Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and coating procedures.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with industry standards (NACE/AMPP, SSPC, CSA, ASTM).</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and reporting skills.</li>\n <li>Valid safety certifications (e.g., H2S Alive, WHMIS, CSTS/OSSA or site-specific safety tickets) considered an asset.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in field environments, including industrial sites, shutdowns, and remote locations.</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills and ability to work with contractors, clients, and project teams.</li>\n <li>Physically able to perform inspections in varying weather and site conditions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>The strength of Acuren lies in its outstanding people.
