Food temperatures meet regulatory and quality standards.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Food safety and cleanliness standards are met at all times. Work area(s) are maintained according standards set by regulatory agencies and department expectations.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Effectively and proactively communicates with coworkers and leadership to ensure department goals and expectations are met.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Performs other duties as assigned.</p>\r\n<p><strong>NS Worker positions, specific descriptions and additional responsibilities</strong>:</p>\r\n<p><strong>Room Service Line</strong>:&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Accurately assembles patient food trays in an efficient manner according to patient order ticket.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Stocks products for service and scans patient trays for tracking.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Ensures patient trays meet quality and presentation expectations.</p>\r\n<p><strong>Caf&eacute; (Cashier and/or Server)</strong>:</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Works in Caf&eacute; cashiering or serving food.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Demonstrates excellent customer service. Ensures name badge is displayed at all times.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Accurately charges customers for food purchases using computerized cash register.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Ensures accurate portion control for all customers when serving food.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Ensures all food served meets presentation, quality and regulatory standards at all times</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Notifies supervisor about customer, food quality, and/or food quantity concerns.</p>\r\n<p><strong>Coffee Kiosk</strong>:&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Works as a barista in our high volume, fast paced, Proudly Serving Starbuck&rsquo;s&trade; coffee kiosk.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Demonstrates excellent customer service. Ensures name badge is displayed at all times.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Ensures recipes are accurately followed and all products meet quality standards.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Notifies supervisor about customer, food quality, and/or food quantity concerns.</p>\r\n<p><strong>Sandwich/Salad/Salad Bar/Fruit Prep</strong>:&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Prepares cold sandwiches, salads, and/or fruit for all service areas.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Ensures proper labeling of all items served.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Accurately follows recipes.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Rotates products ensuring no expired or low quality items are served.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Assists with developing new ideas and proactively communicates products that do not meet sales expectations.</p>\r\n<p><strong>Dish room</strong>:&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Operates industrial automatic dish machine ensuring temperatures meet regulatory standards and dish machine is functioning per expectations.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Ensures all items are cleaned thoroughly prior to placing into service.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Retrieves patient trays/tray carts from utility rooms and brings to dish room for washing.</p>\r\n<p><strong>Pots</strong>:&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Supports food production and service areas utilizing a 3-compartment sink to ensure pots and pans are clean and allowed to air-dry.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Uses accurate chemical strengths that meet regulatory standards.</p>\r\n<p><strong>Stock</strong>:&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>There are two stock positions:&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>1. Responsible for stocking nourishment refrigerators throughout the hospital. Ensures food is rotated, dates are checked to ensure no expired items.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>2. Responsible for stocking deliveries of cases of food to walk-in refrigerators/freezers and storerooms. Pulls stock for department orders. Ensures food is rotated, dates are checked to ensure no expired items.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p>\r\n<p>&middot; Proven excellent customer service interactions required.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Effective listening skills and the ability to follow through with directions are essential.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Requires the ability to read, write and communicate in English effectively and perform basic math.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Must be able to accurately use measuring tools and follow recipes.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Must be able to work under stress of deadlines, work independently, and work as part of a team.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Schedule must permit early morning or evening shifts, as well as days, weekends and holiday shifts.</p>\r\n<p><strong>Certification:&nbsp;</strong>Employee must have one of the following:</p>\r\n<p>&middot; A current and original ANSI-accredited food handler certificate recognized by the EHD in accordance with Arizona State Ordinance requirement.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; For the purposes of the Arizona State Ordinance, other Arizona County food handler cards will be accepted and valid until the card expires.</p>\r\n<p><strong>Preferences:&nbsp;</strong></p>\r\n<p><strong>Education:&nbsp;</strong>High school diploma or equivalent.</p>\r\n<p><strong>Experience:&nbsp;</strong>Previous foodservice experience.</p>\r\n<p><strong>Special Position Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p>\r\n<p><strong>Exposure Categories:&nbsp;Category II: Expected duties have possible, but not routine, potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.</strong></p>\r\n<p><strong>Work Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p>\r\n<p>&middot; Position requires completing manual tasks at a fairly rapid pace.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, stand for long periods of time, stoop, bend, and reach.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Work is performed in an open kitchen and requires going into refrigerators and freezers.</p>\r\n<p>&middot; Requires the use of a variety of chemicals specifically designed for required cleaning and sanitizing.</p>\r\n<p><strong>Date Staff Position Description Created / Revised: </strong><u>02/22/2019; 05/17/2019</u></p>",
