You will work closely with front-end engineers and other stakeholders to ensure backend solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with product needs.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Primary Location:</strong> Across Canada or USA</p>\n<p><strong>Work Model: </strong> Fully Remote</p>\n<p><strong>Employment Type: </strong> Contractor</p>\n<p><strong>Vacancy Status:</strong> New</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop RESTful APIs using .NET to support frontend application workflows</li>\n <li>Implement microservices for knowledge base management and configuration</li>\n <li>Build backend services for agent creation, model configuration, and tool integration</li>\n <li>Support chat and ticketing workflows, including conversation context persistence</li>\n <li>Integrate Azure services such as storage, messaging, and identity management</li>\n <li>Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms</li>\n <li>Develop Python asset modules for data processing and AI pipeline support</li>\n <li>Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure API usability and performance</li>\n <li>Write unit tests and maintain backend technical documentation</li>\n <li>Monitor service health and troubleshoot production issues</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience developing backend services and APIs using .NET</li>\n <li>Experience working with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Azure cloud services and cloud‑based integrations</li>\n <li>Experience implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of Python for backend services or data processing</li>\n <li>Understanding of backend testing practices and documentation standards</li>\n <li>Ability to collaborate effectively with frontend and cross‑functional teams</li>\n <li>Experience supporting production systems and resolving operational issues</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>NICE TO HAVE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting AI pipelines or data‑driven backend services</li>\n <li>Familiarity with chat, ticketing, or workflow‑based systems</li>\n <li>Exposure to event‑driven architectures or messaging systems</li>\n <li>Experience working in SaaS or cloud‑native environments</li>\n <li>Experience integrating Azure AI services such as Azure OpenAI or Azure AI Search into backend applications</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ABOUT ADASTRA</strong></p>\n<p>Adastra is a global leader in AI and data-driven transformation, helping organizations lead with artificial intelligence—responsibly, strategically, and at scale.
