For additional information, click here.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree In Vocational Education or related discipline. Required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Six (6) years trade experience in building construction, specializing in concrete and masonry, to include estimating and management experience in residential and commercial construction. Required</li>\n <li>Teaching experience at the secondary or postsecondary level. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ABILITIES AND SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to qualify for and successfully complete the Occupational Competency Examination in the teaching specialty area. Preferred</li>\n <li>Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff, faculty, and the public. Required</li>\n <li>Developed organizational skills. Required</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required</li>\n <li>Sensitivity to the expectations of students, faculty, staff, and the public. Required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multi-cultural issues. Required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Teach theory and lab courses on residential and commercial building methods and techniques in the areas of masonry and concrete and estimating and management.</li>\n <li>Provide coordination and supervision for instructional field projects.</li>\n <li>Advise, schedule, and maintain accurate records on students.</li>\n <li>Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines.</li>\n <li>Write and update course syllabi; assist with curriculum review, revision, and development.</li>\n <li>Assume responsibility for laboratory development, coordination, and maintenance.</li>\n <li>Engage in professional development and technological upgrading activities.</li>\n <li>Contribute to the betterment of the College through school committee participation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Contribute to the betterment of the College through College-wide committee participation.</li>\n <li>Assist with the development of grant proposals and follow- up activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Standards and Special Job Features</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Some lifting not to exceed 40 lbs. will be required.</li>\n <li>Some work from ladders and scaffolds will be required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Transparency</h2>Commensurate with credentials submitted as applied to the College’s Faculty Salary System.
