You will collaborate with colleagues in other engineering functions as well as production, quality, purchasing, planning and maintenance. You will be responsible for managing implementation of and supporting new process, new equipment and new assembly systems.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>· Project leader for implementation of new process, new equipment and new assembly systems.</p>\n<p>· Examines equipment, processes, operations, and procedures to identify improvement opportunities in areas of safety, quality, throughput, and cost.</p>\n<p>· Evaluate vendor proposals for new equipment purchases.</p>\n<p>· Select & implement suitable manufacturing processes and apply modern organizational principles to make products at a competitive cost.</p>\n<p>· Identify & optimize current and new manufacturing processes using continuous improvement</p>\n<p>· Work closely with production and maintenance to ensure equipment is operating in a like-new condition</p>\n<p>· Specify tools, jigs and fixtures</p>\n<p>· Project coordination and daily troubleshooting</p>\n<p>· Process Development – may include Visual Work Instructions</p>\n<p>· Production support and process trouble-shooting</p>\n<p>· Cost (scrap, rework, cycle time, etc.) reduction</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Knowledge/Experience:</p>\n<p>· Minimum 2 years of experience managing implementation of capital projects involving new equipment and/or equipment systems.</p>\n<p>· CAD experience required i.e.: AutoCAD, Pro E, Solid Works Creo & AutoCAD a strong plus</p>\n<p>· 2-4 years engineering project experience in a metal manufacturing environment is preferred</p>\n<p>· Knowledge of equipment and systems appropriate to related discipline</p>\n<p>· Knowledge of engineering principles and procedures</p>\n<p>· Experience in Lean manufacturing techniques, capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis</p>\n<p>· Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office</p>\n<p>Skills and Abilities:</p>\n<p>· Skill in applying engineering principles and procedures</p>\n<p>· Skill in engineering design applications</p>\n<p>· Ability to effectively communicate</p>\n<p>· The desire to strive for both personal and operational excellence through a never-ending drive for continuous improvement</p>\n<p>· Committed to achieving world-class performance standards</p>\n<p>Education:</p>\n<p>· BS in Material Science, Mechanical, Welding, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or combined related experience required OR 6 years of equivalent experience with demonstrated knowledge in the field</p>\n<p>· Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Human Resources</p>\n<p>Physical Requirements:</p>\n<p>· Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending and minimal lifting</p>\n<h2>ID</h2>2026-12216\n<h2>Pos.
