perform related work as required or as delegated by supervisors.<br/><br/><i><strong><u>DESIGN:</u></strong></i><br/><i><strong><u>Essential Functions:</u>&nbsp;</strong></i></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform beginning level civil engineering as part of a design team responsible for the production of plans and specifications for the construction of District projects OR as part of a consultant contract management team responsible for coordinating the plans and specifications for the construction of District projects</li>\n <li>Compile data</li>\n <li>Check layout of manholes, inlet structures and pipelines, and calculate hydraulic properties of pipelines and drainage channels</li>\n <li>Correlate information obtained from topographic and other maps and plans</li>\n <li>Extend estimates</li>\n <li>Process project information in preparation for construction bidding</li>\n <li>May investigate storm water, sanitary, and combined sewer complaints and recommend solutions to problems</li>\n <li>May make necessary field inspections to determine existing conditions</li>\n <li>May meet with government officials, consultants, and the general public to help define District policies and responsibilities</li>\n</ul>\n<p><i><strong><u>Additional Responsibilities:</u> </strong></i>Maintain records and prepare reports; perform related work as required or as delegated by supervisors.<br/><br/><i><strong><u>ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE:</u></strong></i><br/><i><strong><u>Essential Functions:</u>&nbsp;</strong></i></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform beginning level civil engineering as part of an environmental compliance team;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assist in review Engineering submittals for plan review for pretreatment pollutant control technologies and designs to ensure customers' compliance with federal, state and local regulations;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Review significant industrial users reports and prepare permits;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assist with inspections of sanitary and storm pollution control equipment;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Review, evaluate and summarize of federal, state and local environmental regulations which may impact the District or its customers;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Advise District operating units and customers on environmental requirements and coordinate with them to ensure District compliance with requirements;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Review or prepare required regulatory reports, applications and plans;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Enforce compliance with District Ordinances;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Keep detailed records and prepare administrative and technical reports.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Perform industrial and other facility wastewater billing investigations;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Secure, update and process information from industries relating to the volume and strength of wastewater discharges and determination of appropriate billing factors;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Document and maintain discharge data.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assist in the daily operation of the District's hauled waste program;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Process and approve/deny special discharge applications.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><i><strong><u>Additional Responsibilities:</u> </strong></i>Maintain records and prepare reports;
