    "description_html": "<p>&nbsp;<strong>Description</strong></p><p><strong>JOB GOAL:</strong> To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the same time, the coach must instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to socially acceptable character development, self-discipline, self-confidence, and pride of accomplishment in the student athletes. To upgrade his/her knowledge and skills through coaching clinics, observations, consultation, etc.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>Has previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport.</li><li>Must know the technical aspects of the sport and, at the same time, must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.</li><li>Must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through his/her instructions and actions.</li></ul><p><strong>REPORTS TO:</strong> The head coach, who provides overall objectives and final evaluation in conjunction with the athletic director.<br></p><p><strong>SUPERVISES</strong>: Practices, games, locker rooms, buses, and other areas associated with the program.</p><p><strong>GENERAL:</strong></p><ul><li>The position includes other unusual aspects, such as extended hours, risk of injury, and due process predicaments.</li><li>It is the express intent of this job description to provide sufficient guidance for the practical application of the function. In cases not explicitly covered, it shall be assumed that a coach shall exercise common sense and good judgment.</li></ul><p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Knows all the athletic policies approved by the school and diocese.</li><li>Knows existing system, state, and league regulations; implements the same consistently and interprets them for the players, parents, and fans as needed.</li><li>Understands the proper administrative line of command and refers all requests or grievances through appropriate channels. Is aware of all public, staff, and departmental meetings that require attendance.</li><li>other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Serves as a mentor to each athlete, promoting the development and demonstration of character traits such as trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship in student athletes.</li><li>Gives attention to a student athlete's grades and conduct.</li><li>By their presence at all practice games and while traveling, they provide assistance, guidance, and safeguards for each participant.</li><li>Provides training rules and any other unique regulations of the sport to each athlete who is considered a participant.</li><li>Directs student managers, assistants, and statisticians.</li></ul><p><strong>EQUIPMENT:</strong></p><ul><li>Monitors equipment rooms and coaches' offices, authorizes who may enter, issue, or requisition equipment.</li><li>Permits athletes to be in authorized areas of the building at the designated times.</li><li>Examine locker rooms before and after practices and games, checking on the general cleanliness of the facility. Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of specific sports equipment.</li><li>Secures all doors, lights, windows, and locks before leaving the building if custodians are not on duty.</li><li>Instills in each player a respect for equipment and school property, its care, and proper use.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
