    "description": "<p>The HAZMAT (HM) / HAZARDOUS WASTE (HW) Coordinator primary area of focus is being able to distinguish Hazmat (HM) from Hazardous Waste (HW), Implementing Hazardous Communication Training Programs, and is responsible for ensuring the safe storage, handling, and distribution of hazardous materials in full compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. This role includes overseeing inventory control, implementing and enforcing safety protocols, and providing training to employees on proper HAZMAT procedures to reduce risks and maintain a safe work environment. The coordinator also performs regular audits to ensure regulatory adherence and operational safety. Success in this position requires strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and a solid understanding of environmental and safety regulations to effectively manage HAZMAT/ HAZARDOUS WASTE operations and promote workplace safety.</p>\n<p>Essential Job Functions</p>\n<p>· Accountable for accurate and timely documentation of goods for products received and delivered. Must update all Chemicals in Inventory in TC MAX and AUL: Hazardous Materials Information Resource System. (HMIRS) / Hazardous Material Management System (HMMS) databases.</p>\n<p>· Timely completion of paperwork associated with receiving and shipping daily.</p>\n<p>· Responsible for loading and unloading products after receiving goods and for delivery.</p>\n<p>· Responsible for accurate, timely, and safe product deliveries.</p>\n<p>· Insure all MSDS sheets are current, and processes are in place that will ensure accurate and timely updates.</p>\n<p>· Pull inventory</p>\n<p>· Communicate with the customer about the placement of the delivery.</p>\n<p>· Responsible for organizing the warehouse and yard materials.</p>\n<p>· Comply with all company and customer safety requirements.</p>\n<p>· Regular and reliable attendance is expected.</p>\n<p>Marginal Job Functions</p>\n<p>· Assist other personnel as time and knowledge permit.</p>\n<p>· Perform other duties as assigned.</p>\n<p>· Stay current with federal procurement regulations, GSA guidelines.</p>\n<p>Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities</p>\n<p>· Must have a good understanding of Classes 1-9 of Dangerous goods</p>\n<p>· Must have problem solving abilities and the ability to handle unknown issues in an efficient manner.</p>\n<p>· Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.</p>\n<p>· Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills.</p>\n<p>· Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.</p>\n<p>· Must be a self-starter focused on accomplishing results.</p>\n<p>· Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure while meeting deadlines.</p>\n<p>· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.</p>\n<p>Education and Work Experience</p>\n<p>· Must have completed the A-493-0331 Intro to Hazmat Ashore Course</p>\n<p>· Must have completed the A-493-0880 HW Generation and Handling Course</p>\n<p>· Knowledgeable of TC MAX &amp; HMIRS/ HMMS programs</p>\n<p>· Four years of related experience.</p>\n<p>· Must pass a government background check and drug screening.</p>",
