    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p><strong>SkillBridge Opportunity!</strong></p>\n<p>Odyssey is currently seeking a CIC Commercial Duty Officer (CDO), in this role you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, secure, and effective operation of satellites, spacecraft, ground stations, and supporting systems of our commercial mission partners. This multifaceted position demands a blend of technical expertise, sharp situational awareness, precise communication skills, and the ability to respond swiftly to unexpected events.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To be eligible for DoD SkillBridge opportunities, candidates must be active members of the U.S. military with 180 days or fewer remaining prior to their separation date and have completed at least 180 continuous days of active service.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Duties include, but not limited to: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Analyze anomaly notifications and work collaboratively to diagnose and resolve issues</li>\n <li>Update logs, status boards, and situational awareness tools to keep the team informed</li>\n <li>Document shift activities, major events, and actions taken for post-event analysis and mission review</li>\n <li>Facilitate communication between mission teams, engineering support, external agencies, and higher-level authorities; produce and distribute timely reports, alerts, and status updates</li>\n <li>Coordinate with cybersecurity specialists and network operations centers as needed</li>\n <li>Manage planned and unplanned operational events, such as scheduled maneuvers, payload deployments, launch and recovery phases, or emergency responses</li>\n <li>Conduct comprehensive briefings for incoming watch floor personnel to ensure seamless continuity of operations</li>\n <li>Ensure all operations conform to applicable national and international regulations, organizational policies, and mission rules of engagement</li>\n <li>Provide rapid assessment and action during loss-of-signal events, unplanned reentries, or emergencies affecting crewed missions</li>\n <li>Respond to or help coordinate commercial input for space weather events, orbital debris tracking, and collision avoidance maneuvers</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Citizenship: Must be a US citizen</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Minimum Required Qualifications</strong></em></p>\n<p><strong>Clearance</strong><strong>: </strong>Active TS/SCI clearance, agreeable to polygraph</p>\n<p><strong>Education: </strong>Associate’s or CCAF Degree; Relevant USSF or other Service Technical School Completion</p>\n<p><strong>Years of Experience: </strong>Three (3) years of relevant experience, 2 of which in a similar role supporting Department of Defense, industry, or intelligence organizations</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></em></p>\n<p><strong>Clearance</strong><strong>:</strong> TS/SCI Poly</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Technical Skills</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Fundamental knowledge of orbital mechanics, spacecraft dynamics, collision avoidance procedures, space environmental factors</li>\n <li>Understands basic design and purpose of the Unified Data Library (UDL)</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of CCMD operations, plans, and organizational/directorate functions; experience in a Joint operational environment a plus</li>\n <li>Familiar with satellite communication principles, space domain awareness systems, space-based intelligence collection systems, ground system architecture and operations, and threats to space operations</li>\n <li>Ability to quickly interpret complex data, recognize patterns, and anticipate potential issues</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>Interpersonal Skills</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong oral and written communication skills for reporting, briefing, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams</li>\n <li>Effectively adapt to changing operational requirements and prioritize tasks accordingly in a time sensitive environment</li>\n <li>Advanced ability to maintain a high level of situational awareness while synthesizing multiple sources of information</li>\n <li>Highly proficient at operating independently of direct supervision within established procedures, protocols, and guidance</li>\n <li>Ability to travel (up to 10% annually) to participate in training, exercises or wargames as directed</li>\n <li>Comfortable within a rotating shift structure with diverse professionals</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Location: </strong>Vandenberg AFB</p>\n<p><strong>Travel: </strong>None</p>\n<p><strong>Remote, Onsite, or Hybrid: </strong>Onsite</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Additional Information:</strong></em></p>\n<p>To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Has served at least 180 days on active duty</li>\n <li>Is within 12 months of separation or retirement</li>\n <li>Will receive an honorable discharge</li>\n <li>Has taken any TAPS/TGPS</li>\n <li>Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months</li>\n <li>Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DOD SkillBridge Program prior to start is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Odyssey </strong>is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
