The Developer will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of complex software systems. This role emphasizes creating scalable and maintainable applications, with expertise in Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript. The developer will participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring high performance and reliability of applications. Responsibilities include configuring and optimizing application servers, troubleshooting, and scripting in Linux environments. Strong communication skills are essential to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively within the team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>This position is fully remote. </em></p>\n<h2>Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Contribute to technical leadership while assisting in training and mentoring other software developers and engineers.</li>\n <li>Participate in all phases of the SDLC and take on tasks, contributing to the design, development, testing, and delivery of software systems or applications.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain robust applications that meet business requirements and industry standards.</li>\n <li>Apply a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and best practices to design scalable and maintainable software solutions.</li>\n <li>Deploy and manage Java applications, ensuring availability, reliability, and scalability.</li>\n <li>Configure, monitor, and optimize application servers to ensure high performance and reliability, enhancing the user experience and minimizing downtime.</li>\n <li>Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automating the software delivery process and ensuring efficient deployment.</li>\n <li>Apply and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of software, integrating them into the CI/CD pipelines.</li>\n <li>Perform scripting, configuration, and troubleshooting tasks to support application development and deployment.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and understanding across teams.</li>\n <li>Apply strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about complex technical challenges, finding innovative solutions to meet project objectives.</li>\n <li>Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, adapting to changing requirements and priorities to deliver high-quality software solutions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Active Secret Clearance.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role.</li>\n <li>Must hold an active an IAT Level II certification; CompTIA Security+ CE highly preferred. </li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other technical discipline related to designing information systems.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript with 8+ years of experience developing and maintaining robust applications.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and best practices.</li>\n <li>Experience with Apache HTTP Server to deploy and manage Java applications.</li>\n <li>Ability to configure, monitor, and optimize application servers to ensure high performance and reliability.</li>\n <li>Hands-on experience with pipeline tools such as GitLab and Jenkins with the ability to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.</li>\n <li>Prior experience working in Linux environments with the ability to perform scripting, configuration, and troubleshooting.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in using Jira (or similar) for project management, issue tracking, and workflow customization.</li>\n <li>Experience utilizing Confluence (or similar) for documentation, collaboration, and knowledge management.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about complex technical challenges</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>EEO and Affirmative Action Policy:</strong> DecisionPoint Corporation is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
