Sila is creating its first centralized procurement function to unlock national scale while preserving local installation excellence.</li><li><b>Position Overview</b></li><li><b>Title:</b> Director of Category Management – Indirect Spend</li><li><b>Location:</b> King of Prussia, PA (Hybrid: 3 days in-office or remote)</li><li><b>Reports To:</b> Vice President of Procurement</li><li><b>Department:</b> Finance</li><li><b>Travel:</b> Up to 10% (OpCo site visits, supplier QBRs, industry conferences)</li><li><br></li><li>This foundational hire will design and lead Sila’s Indirect Spend Sourcing &amp; Category Management team. This position will own a growing portfolio of $100M+ in annual indirect spend across categories such as IT hardware/software, telecommunications, professional services, facilities/MRO, marketing, fleet/vehicles, uniforms/PPE, travel, and corporate insurance. This role will support the build of a centralized procurement team, systems, and supplier partnerships that drive cost leadership, compliance, and operational efficiency across 40+ decentralized operating companies.</li><li><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></li><li>\t Build and lead a high-performing category management organization across the Indirect Categories</li><li>\t Lead the development and execution of a Category Management strategy aligned to corporate cost savings goals, risk mitigation, and operational requirements for all current and future OpCo’s.</li><li>\tPartner with business unit leaders and functional executives (IT, HR, Operations, Marketing, Facilities, Finance) to understand demand, align sourcing strategies, and maximize total value.</li><li>\tDevelop and execute category plans that drive value, reduce risk, improve supplier performance, and ensure regulatory compliance.</li><li>\tLead major RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier selection in collaboration with business stakeholders, legal, and compliance teams.</li><li>\tConduct comprehensive market and spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, consolidate suppliers, and leverage national scale.</li><li>\tMonitor supplier performance, including cost, service levels, quality, contract compliance, and develop supplier improvement initiatives.</li><li>\tDrive adoption of preferred supplier programs and catalog management to control maverick spend and ensure policy compliance.</li><li>\tCollaborate with Accounts Payable and Finance to optimize payment terms, rebates, and working capital impact.</li><li>\tLeverage procurement technology (e.g., Coupa) to enhance visibility, automate workflows, enforce policy, and enable data-driven decisions.</li><li>\tTrack and report on sourcing savings, pipeline, category performance, and compliance metrics to executive leadership.</li><li>\tContinuously evaluate and improve category management tools, processes, scorecards, and metrics.</li><li>\tAdditional ad-hoc responsibilities will be needed as the program grows and matures; list above is not exhaustive.</li><li><br></li><li><b>Qualifications (Required)</b></li><li>\t Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field</li><li>\t8+ years Category Management experience in indirect procurement</li><li>\tProven track record leading category strategies and sourcing across multiple indirect spend categories (IT, professional services, facilities, marketing, fleet, etc.)</li><li>\tHands-on experience selecting and implementing S2P systems (Coupa, Ariba, etc.)</li><li><b>Preferred</b></li><li>\tMasters in Business Administration</li><li>\tCPSM, CPM, or equivalent certification</li><li>\tPrior role at a multi-location service organization, or consulting firm with indirect procurement focus.</li>"
