    "description": "<h2>What we are looking for</h2>\n<p>A Field Technician operates and manages gas migration control/recovery systems including gas well monitoring and adjustment, troubleshooting, and system repairs. We are looking for a Field Technician to service the Charlotte, NC area.</p>\n<h2>How you can make an impact</h2>\n<p>You will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operate and maintain gas collection system on a cost-effective basis to keep systems operating and in compliance with different prescribed operating parameters and goals, including:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Routine wellfield balancing and maintenance</li>\n   <li>Routine blower / flare operations</li>\n   <li>Surface emissions monitoring</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Field sampling of different test locations including wells, probes, headers, blowers, flares, pumps, etc.</li>\n <li>Operate, calibrate, and maintain various analytical and monitoring equipment.</li>\n <li>Perform maintenance activities such as greasing blowers, cleaning tanks, fusing pipe, and repairing pumps just to name a few.</li>\n <li>Collect and evaluate/interpret scientific data; Communicate observations and technical data verbally and in writing with supervisor and clients.</li>\n <li>Perform work independently or as a team member in a professional, productive and safe manner, adopting the principles of SCS' safety culture.</li>\n <li>Understand and follow regulatory requirements related to the work.</li>\n <li>Record and maintain daily field logs reporting data collected, field observations, actions taken, and recommended actions to be taken.</li>\n <li>Work independently after training is completed</li>\n <li>Assigned a work truck that includes fuel and maintenance</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>No experience is required, however related experience is preferred. Related experience is mechanical, construction, environmental, or solid waste field experience</li>\n <li>Mechanical or construction knowledge is preferred</li>\n <li>Must meet physical requirements for driving (pick-up truck), walking inspection of improved and unimproved property, lifting and carrying equipment/mechanical components (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), hand excavation/digging (using shovels/picks), carrying and climbing ladders, operating and working from man lifts, operating electric tools (drills, saws, etc.), using hand tools (screw drivers, wrenches, hammers, etc.) and providing services under varying weather conditions</li>\n <li>Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing is required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Range</h2>USD $23.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>Please note that our pay ranges are determined by several factors, including relevant experience, internal pay equity, and location.
