    "description": "<h2>Position Description</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Legrand </strong>has an exciting opportunity for a <strong>Production Manager</strong> to join the <strong>Data Center Power and Control Team</strong> in <strong>Farmingdale, NY and support 2nd Shift (approx 3:30pm - Midnight).</strong> This position is responsible for managing all manufacturing areas to ensure that production, quality and safety standards are achieved according to set production schedules.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What Will You Do?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Execute production plan through the efficient use of staffing, materials, equipment and other resources and setting production goals.</li>\n <li>Monitor production metrics to identify and resolve issues and implement process improvements.</li>\n <li>Participate in daily walkthroughs/field tours and communicate priorities in shift handoff meetings.</li>\n <li>Determine staffing requirements and make recommendations to senior leadership regarding compensation, performance and shift coverage.</li>\n <li>Coordinate equipment maintenance, turnaround, and downtime and communicate such with senior leadership.</li>\n <li>Ensure training processes, equipment and tool requirements comply with health and safety regulations.</li>\n <li>Coach teams on best practices, performance issues and employee relations concerns to resolve problems.</li>\n <li>Ensure manufactured components meet engineering specifications and quality standards.</li>\n <li>Ensure accuracy of inventory transaction according to established processes.</li>\n <li>Monitor productivity and labor efficiency.</li>\n <li>Provide coaching and guidance to support performance, address workplace concerns, and maintain a productive work environment.</li>\n <li>Promote and enable cross-training and continuous improvement for all employees.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment is required; metal fabricaton preferred.</li>\n <li>A minimum of 2 years effectively leading and supervising others is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of ERP system is required; SAP experience is preferred.</li>\n <li>Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.</li>\n <li>Sheet metal manufacturing experience is preferred.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills are required.</li>\n <li>Strong organizational and prioritization skills are required.</li>\n <li>Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to supervise and manage others is required.</li>\n <li>Ability to think strategically and tactically with a solid business acumen and understanding of multiple functional areas is required.</li>\n <li>Must be highly collaborative, able to work effectively across functions and support an environment of innovation and creative change.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Salary and Benefits: $100,000 - $115,000 a year plus bonus</strong></p>\n<p>Legrand North and Central America offer comprehensive health benefits, an industry-leading 401(k) match, paid maternity and parental leave, PTO, holidays, disability coverage, bonus opportunities, paid volunteer time, and access to an active Employee Resource Groups that support women in engineering and underrepresented identities.
