    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Key Responsibilities</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Set up and operate manual engine lathes (both large and small), milling machines, grinders, and drill presses.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Machine parts from raw material to finished dimensions with no supervision.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Confidently and effectively cut outside diameter (O.D.) and inside diameter (I.D.) threads by single point.</li>\n <li>Cut and finish ring grooves, including BX, R, and Face grooves.</li>\n <li>Experience repairing damaged parts, including chasing threads to restore specification.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Inspect and verify finished parts using precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment, performing routine machine maintenance and minor adjustments as needed.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to troubleshoot machining challenges and deliver quality results.<br>\n   &nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Required Qualifications</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 10 years’ experience running large and small engine lathes.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Oilfield machining experience highly desired.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Proven ability to machine complex parts independently, from raw stock to final dimensions.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of machining principles, cutting tools, materials, and shop math.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Skilled in repairing and reworking damaged components to meet exact specifications.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical training is preferred.</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a background check, physical and drug test.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;Physical &amp; Work Requirements</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Competitive Benefits (visit usbenefits.nov.com for more information about our benefits offerings)</p>\n<ul>\n <li>401(k) Retirement Plan – NOV matches every dollar up to 5% of base pay and overtime for every dollar you invest.</li>\n <li>Competitive medical plans that are effective your date of hire.
