Learn more about Blythedale by visiting our website here.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Registered Nurse Team Leader is a pivotal clinical and leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations, clinical workflows, and nursing staff within a designated pediatric patient care unit. Combining expert hands-on pediatric clinical nursing skills with foundational leadership capabilities, the Nursing Team Leader ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and family centered care. The role serves as a primary resource for staff nurses and nurse’s aides. The Nursing Team Leader collaborates closely with nursing leadership and multidisciplinary therapeutic teams, and acts as a liaison between families and medical staff to facilitate optimal patient outcomes and complex discharge planning. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Promotes a harmonious work environment.</li>\n <li>Provides clinical leadership and guidance to staff members.</li>\n <li>Acts as a role model in all activities of patient care delivery and professional interactions with staff, physicians, the multi-disciplinary team, and BCH leadership.</li>\n <li>Ensures that that patients and families receive care in accordance with professional and organizational standards.</li>\n <li>Manages clinical report on all children on the unit, using standardized communication tools.</li>\n <li>Accurately assesses the conditions and health needs of the patients on the unit, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care and educational factors</li>\n <li>Implements prescribed nursing actions and medical treatments using evidence based practices</li>\n <li>Safeguards the rights of patient and family members in accordance with hospital policy.</li>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>3+ years of progressive pediatric acute or sub-acute nursing experience, with a strong preference for pediatric rehabilitation, pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), or specialized pediatric long-term care.  </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Minimum 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience (e.g. Charge Nurse, Preceptor, Committee Chair, or permanent / interim team leader role).  </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Advanced clinical skills specific to medically complex, technology dependent pediatrics (e.g. vent/trach management, complex feeding tubes, advanced wound care). </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse families and across functional clinical teams. </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Strong organizational and time management abilities to balance direct patient care support with shift operational duties. </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) platforms such as Meditech/Expanse, MS Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, pptx, OneNote, MS Bookings, MS Forms), Google Suite, Voalte helpful.  </p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education, Licensure, and Certification</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution in the US required.
