Dispatches calls and coordinates with the appropriate resources as dictated by guidelines.</p>\n<p>Job Responsibility</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Answer requests for emergency medical service utilizing provided Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS) cards / ProQA for proper prioritization and pre-arrival instructions; adheres to guidelines.<br/> Works on mostly routine and &nbsp;transactional assignments, guided by &nbsp;policies, procedures, guidelines and &nbsp;precedent.<br/> Exercises independent judgment on &nbsp;basic or moderately complex issues &nbsp;regarding job and related tasks.<br/> Responds to and coordinates with posted units following the Deployment Monitor in an expedient manner.<br/> Follows dispatch orders adhering to approved policies and procedures.&nbsp;<br/> Maintains accurate records for ambulances.<br/> Elevates questions, problems and &nbsp;significant challenges to more senior &nbsp;team members for direction or subject &nbsp;matter expertise on new or &nbsp;unprecedented assignments.<br/> Handles and coordinates scheduled transports in a timely manner.&nbsp;<br/> Clarifies policies or procedures, and any other matters that may occur, as appropriate.<br/> Participates in all required safety and back-up drills.&nbsp;<br/> Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
