    "description": "<h2>Min</h2>USD $30,000.00/Yr.\n<h2>Max</h2>USD $34,675.00/Yr.\n<h2>Position Overview</h2>\n<p>S:US is seeking a<strong> Driver</strong> for their singles women shelter.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is located at <strong>West 126 Street New York, NY 10027.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>SCOPE OF ROLE</strong>: </p>\n<p>The Driver will be responsible for transporting clients, staff and items throughout the 5 boroughs, New Jersey and other areas where housing may be acquired.  You will be required to operate between 4 sites in Harlem and the Bronx. You will be called upon to engage and assist with program participants/individuals we serve. As a member of S:US you are committed to acting with integrity, as demonstrated by treating people consistently, honestly and fairly to help them achieve their own goals and the goals of the agency.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operate agency vehicle as assigned, transport residents, supplies, food, items and etc., to and from sites</li>\n <li>Ensuring that the vehicle is kept in proper working order</li>\n <li>Reporting any issue immediately to the Director for Vehicle and Agency Mechanic if problems do exist, in order to coordinate timely repair</li>\n <li>Keep compliance with all vehicle and traffic laws as they pertain to safety, speed limits, passenger safety, etc.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate trip logs which will include destination, mileage before and after, departure and arrival times and purpose of trip to be submitted daily to vehicle operation</li>\n <li>Maintain cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the vehicle</li>\n <li>Report concerns to supervisor to be addressed by management</li>\n <li>Exercise discretion in handling sensitive information as required by HIPPA and Agency guidelines. </li>\n <li>Report, document and submit incidents timely to DHS and S:US as required</li>\n <li>Handle internal and external communications from residents, vendors and patrons  </li>\n <li>Respond to consumer needs promptly, accurately and with courtesy and respect. </li>\n <li>Represents the organization in a positive and appropriate manner to outside resources. </li>\n <li> Supports the mission and values of SUS and draw attention to behavior that undermines group effectiveness or is inconsistent with core values. </li>\n <li> Additional duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><em>EQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE </em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required. </li>\n <li>Must possess NYS Driver’s License</li>\n <li>At least 1 year experience in driving for a company</li>\n <li>Effective written and oral communication skills. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS</em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic computer skills (e.g. MS Office suite and Windows) </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>S:US IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join a team of employees who care about the wellbeing of others.
