The Quality Control Technician I will be responsible for ensuring that the quality process is followed during production. Inspect products such as incoming material, in-process parts, and finished goods for conformance to specifications and assist with new product development. This role is located in <strong>Montpelier, OH</strong> and will be fully on-site. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Starting Pay:</strong> $24.41 per hour</p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Thursday – Sunday – Week 1, Friday – Sunday – Week 2; 6a-6p</p>\n<p><strong>Pay Schedule:</strong> Weekly</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Quality Control Technician I </strong><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work safely and promote the safety of those working around you; help build a proactive safety culture.</li>\n <li>Meet or exceed the quality expectations of the customer as defined by the Engineering and Quality organizations by following the quality process:\n  <ul>\n   <li>First Off / Last Off approval </li>\n   <li>Perform inspections across all stages of production</li>\n   <li>Final audit </li>\n   <li>Gage calibration and maintenance of equipment</li>\n   <li>Participate in root cause analysis</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Meet or exceed the quality expectations of the customer by helping to define those expectations:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Conduct / Assist with capability studies</li>\n   <li>Conduct / Assist with Gauge R&R studies</li>\n   <li>Assist with PPAP’s and PPAP documentation</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Additional Accountabilities:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Read and interpret dimensional layouts when needed</li>\n   <li>Receiving inspection – dimensionally and visually verify the quality of incoming products</li>\n   <li>Data entry</li>\n   <li>Adhere to ISO 9001 and NSF standards</li>\n   <li>Process audits</li>\n   <li>Sorting product needed for shipment</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Quality Control Technician I Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum 2-4 years in Quality control.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Keyence measuring systems (not required but recommended).</li>\n <li>Experience using hand gages (micrometers, calipers and etc.).</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills, written and verbal.</li>\n <li>Basic SPC.</li>\n <li>Willingness to help in other areas as needed.</li>\n <li>Ability to read drawings.</li>\n <li>Problem solving skills / critical thinker.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of MS Office products.</li>\n <li>Desire to learn and develop technical skills to keep current with changing manufacturing processes.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Joining Wieland’s team gives you…</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Benefits</strong> - Including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life & more!</li>\n <li><strong>Retirement Savings</strong> - 401(k) contribution + match.</li>\n <li><strong>Work/Life Balance</strong> - Paid Vacation & Holidays.</li>\n <li><strong>Growth Opportunities</strong> - We have over 9,000+ employees worldwide and 40+ locations in North America alone.
