This new facility will help meet the urgent need for accessible, high-quality psychiatric care in the region, expanding capacity to support patients with diverse mental health needs. Set to open in Fall 2025, the hospital—located just under a mile from ECU Health Medical Center—will offer a full range of inpatient and intensive outpatient services. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Acadia Healthcare is a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services across the United States. With more than 23,000 employees serving approximately 75,000 patients daily, Acadia is the largest stand-alone behavioral health company in the U.S.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our admissions team at ECU Behvioral Health Hospital. As an Admissions RN, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions process for our patients. Your clinical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders will contribute to delivering high-quality care. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>\n<p>· Review medical documentation for all admissions, complete medication reconciliation, and obtain admission orders from physicians.</p>\n<p>· Facilitate emergency transfers for patients with medical conditions beyond our facility's capabilities.</p>\n<p>· Review referrals from hospitals, facilities, and community agencies, assessing medical and behavioral acuity and responding within designated timeframes.</p>\n<p>· Respond to inquiries about our facility, providing appropriate recommendations and information.</p>\n<p>· Conduct assessments to determine the appropriate level of care within our facility.</p>\n<p>· Collaborate with medical and psychiatric personnel to ensure appropriate recommendations and admissions.</p>\n<p>· Facilitate the admissions process, including assessment, consent, and inventory of patient belongings.</p>\n<p>· Perform insurance benefit verifications and secure initial pre-authorization for treatment and admission.</p>\n<p>· Monitor patient status throughout the admissions process, following facility policies and physician orders.</p>\n<p>· Utilize web-based programs to track and review referrals.</p>\n<p>· Communicate projected admissions promptly to designated internal representatives.</p>\n<p>· Ensure timely receipt of all clinical information, including medical comorbidity, from referral sources or patients.</p>\n<p>· Schedule and complete pre-admission assessments, consult with admitting physicians, and communicate disposition recommendations to patients or their families.</p>\n<p>· Prepare and maintain accurate medical record documentation to facilitate payor authorization at the requested level of care.</p>\n<p>· Complete initial pre-authorization for treatment and admission within payor timeframe guidelines.</p>\n<p>· Admit patients to the registration and accounting system, completing all necessary admission and consent forms.</p>\n<p>· Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards patients, prioritizing their safety and promptly addressing concerns or complaints.</p>\n<p>· Coordinate care for patients who are not being admitted, ensuring they receive appropriate follow-up care and referrals.</p>\n<p>· Conduct safety checks and provide supervision as required by special precautions and individualized guidelines.</p>\n<p>· Coordinate care for patients who are not being admitted, ensuring they receive appropriate follow-up care and referrals.</p>\n<p>· Conduct safety checks and ensure proper supervision according to special precautions and individualized guidelines.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth admissions processes.
