As a team development test engineer, one will work with a geographically distributed team  <br /> <br /> </span></p><p><b><u><span>Key Responsibilities:</span></u></b><span> </span></p><p><span></span></p><ul><li><span>Work closely with architects and developers to design test plans / cases to verify new features in the product as well as ensuring existing functionality is not adversely impacted. </span><span></span></li><li><span>Debugging and trouble-shooting complex system that interact with components (software and hardware) developed by other teams or vendors. </span><span></span></li><li><span>Support internal and external customers for system level issues such as configuration, installation and engaging development when needed. </span><span></span></li><li><span>Understanding of communications protocols. </span><span></span></li><li><span>Execute assigned tasks in a timely &amp; efficient manner. </span><span></span></li><li><span>Effectively communicate status, metrics and issues on a regular basis. </span><span></span></li></ul><p><b><u><span></span></u></b></p><p><b><u><span>Skills &amp; Requirements:</span></u></b><span> </span></p><ul><li><span>1-5 years working with streaming video software applications, basic understanding of MPEG encoding format and streaming multiplexing a plus.</span></li><li><span>1-5 years collaborating with offshore development and test teams.</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of Edge QAM resource management a big plus.</span></li><li><span>Working knowledge of RTSP, DSM-CC, VREP a big plus.</span></li><li><span>Experience with cable systems and IP Video delivery a plus.</span></li><li><span>Experience with agile practice a plus.</span></li><li><span>Experience with customer support a big plus.</span></li><li><span>5+ years of hands-on experience designing and executing test plans / cases for applications in a system environment. </span></li><li><span>5+ years of troubleshooting complex systems from multiple vendors. </span></li><li><span>2-5 years of experience in a Unix/Linux environment</span></li></ul><div><b>Wasim Ahmed</b></div><div><b>703-722-8126</b></div>",
