    "description": "<h2>Department Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Nuclear Medicine Physician | No Weekends | Hybrid</strong></p>\n<p>The Section of Molecular Imaging and Therapy in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking a full-time Nuclear Medicine physician or Nuclear Radiologist. The section has state-of-the-art imaging equipment, a robust theranostics program, and sees both adult and pediatric patients with a mixture of complexity from within OHSU, the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, as well as more widely throughout Oregon and adjacent states.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Discover your future at OHSU Diagnostic Radiology - click below for a brief overview of the department.https://www.ohsu.edu/sites/default/files/2024-12/OHSU-Radiology-Faculty-Recruitment-December2024_0.pdf </p>\n<h2>Function/Duties of Position</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Oversee daily clinical operations of the section</p></li>\n <li><p>Manage a broad imaging caseload generated by:</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Five SPECT/CT scanners</p></li>\n   <li><p>Two digital PET/CT scanners</p></li>\n   <li><p>One PET/MRI scanner</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><p>Support and contribute to our theranostics program, including:</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Neuroendocrine tumor therapies</p></li>\n   <li><p>Prostate cancer therapies</p></li>\n   <li><p>Radioiodine therapies </p></li>\n   <li><p>Several research therapies</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><p>Collaborate closely with medical physics and participate in a robust dosimetry program</p></li>\n <li><p>Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards</p></li>\n <li><p>Teach at all levels: medical students, residents, and fellows</p></li>\n <li><p>Engage in departmental educational activities, including:</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Radiology Residency program</p></li>\n   <li><p>Nuclear Medicine Residency/Fellowship program</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>An interest and involvement in research is preferred but not required, given the current trajectory of the field in general and at OHSU. This may involve a variety of research types including:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Investigator-initiated studies</li>\n   <li>Industry-sponsored clinical trials</li>\n   <li>Retrospective projects for both radionuclide imaging and therapy</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p>The Center for Radiochemistry Research (CRR) is a state-of-the-art cyclotron facility that offers opportunities for collaboration in developing radionuclides for basic science, small and large animal studies, and human clinical trials.
