Nuclear Medicine Physician | No Weekends | Hybrid
The Section of Molecular Imaging and Therapy in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking a full-time Nuclear Medicine physician or Nuclear Radiologist. The section has state-of-the-art imaging equipment, a robust theranostics program, and sees both adult and pediatric patients with a mixture of complexity from within OHSU, the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, as well as more widely throughout Oregon and adjacent states.

Function/Duties of Position
Oversee daily clinical operations of the section
Manage a broad imaging caseload generated by:
Five SPECT/CT scanners
Two digital PET/CT scanners
One PET/MRI scanner
Support and contribute to our theranostics program, including:
Neuroendocrine tumor therapies
Prostate cancer therapies
Radioiodine therapies
Several research therapies
Collaborate closely with medical physics and participate in a robust dosimetry program
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards
Teach at all levels: medical students, residents, and fellows
Engage in departmental educational activities, including:
Radiology Residency program
Nuclear Medicine Residency/Fellowship program
An interest and involvement in research is preferred but not required, given the current trajectory of the field in general and at OHSU. This may involve a variety of research types including:
Investigator-initiated studies
Industry-sponsored clinical trials
Retrospective projects for both radionuclide imaging and therapy
The Center for Radiochemistry Research (CRR) is a state-of-the-art cyclotron facility that offers opportunities for collaboration in developing radionuclides for basic science, small and large animal studies, and human clinical trials. Support is available from trainees at multiple levels as well as a strong departmental research team.
Required Qualifications
ABR or ABNM Board Certified or Board Eligible
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
Eligible to practice in Oregon
International Medical Graduates encouraged to apply if they also hold:
Valid ECFMG certification
ABR or ABNM Board Certified or Board Eligible through the ABR IMG Alternate Pathway Program
Preferred Qualifications
Academic experience or interest
Current Nuclear Medicine Residents or Fellows, all levels of candidates with fellowship training and/or faculty experience in Nuclear Medicine are encouraged to apply
