To facilitate this learning, the teacher will deliver rigorous, standards-aligned curricula aligned to the beliefs that observation and hands-on exploration of the natural world form the foundation of science; data is ubiquitous and the language of science; writing is a central component of the scientific endeavor; and collaboration is a necessary skill in a globalized society and economy. The teacher will promote and nurture the education of students by planning and tailoring courses of study; monitoring, assisting with, and correcting academic efforts; and providing a safe environment conducive to learning and character development. In class, students will explore what it means to be a scientist, engaging deeply in the scientific method.
