We offer competitive salary and a great benefits package in an exciting, rewarding industry.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>*Forklift mechanic experience is required*</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>*Non-CDL Required*</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Dohrn is currently seeking a Mobile Mechanic for our Kansas City, MO Terminal!</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Shift: 1st Shift- M-F 40hr Work Week </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Pay: Up to $44.06/Hour with CDL & ASE incentives ****Training available for incentives****</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits: Health / Vision / Dental insurance, 401k matching, life insurance, short/long term disability and more.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong></p>\n<p>Mechanics are responsible for safely and efficiently maintaining Dohrn fleet vehicles.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>\n<p>• Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy.</p>\n<p>• Maintain company’s issued service truck, conduct safety checks and pre/post trip inspections.</p>\n<p>• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (“PM”), DOT Inspections and routine follow up repairs 53’ van trailers in a mobile/field environment, including heated Carrier engines on upfitted trailers.</p>\n<p>• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in timely fashion</p>\n<p>• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.</p>\n<p>• Use basic hand tools, precision instruments, as well as power tools, welding equipment, and jacks.</p>\n<p>• Dismantle and reassemble equipment.</p>\n<p>• Enter labor lines and parts into repair order computer system.</p>\n<p>• React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.</p>\n<p>• Work with a high degree of independence and manage own daily schedule.</p>\n<p>• Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most standard repair times.</p>\n<p>• Repair, replace and adjust necessary units and parts.</p>\n<p>• Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary for the repairs to be performed.</p>\n<p>• Manage parts inventory and equipment provided on a service truck and perform periodic reconciliation.</p>\n<p>• Communicate with Dohrn Transfer management and support team via email or phone to obtain approvals on repair. </p>\n<p>• Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health and environmental policies, and federal regulations, to include OSHA, EPA, and DOT.</p>\n<p>• Participate and complete all-in company required safety training.</p>\n<p>• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with assigned operations staff and vendors as needed. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.</p>\n<p>• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.</p>\n<p>• Perform other duties as needed</p>\n<p><strong>Other Functions:</strong></p>\n<p>• Travel to other company shop locations when staff is needed.</p>\n<p>• React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p>• A minimum age of 21.</p>\n<p>• High school completion or equivalent. Technical School is a plus.</p>\n<p>• Valid Driver’s License with class E endorsement & 3 years driving experience required. CDL B preferred.</p>\n<p>• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a trailer mechanic.</p>\n<p>• Proficiency in the use of Apple iPhone/mobile devices, navigation of mobile applications and use of email to document repairs and communication.</p>\n<p>• Willingness to work varied schedules and work outdoors/in the elements at terminal yards/locations.</p>\n<p>• Demonstrated ability to work independently, multi-task and apply initiative.</p>\n<p>• Positive attitude, safety conscious, good instincts, and self-motivation.</p>\n<p>• All drivers are to possess only one valid driver's license issued by the resident state of the driver; Operators who have recently transferred from another state must produce a copy of the former license or provide license information for verification from that state; Drivers will need to provide information on all licenses held within the previous 36 months.</p>\n<p>• No record of citation or conviction of any DUI/OWI or Reckless Driving within the previous 5 years.</p>\n<p>• Must have and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).</p>\n<p>• Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and functional screen.</p>\n<p>• Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen; Dohrn Transfer must receive a negative result.</p>\n<p>• Dohrn Transfer must receive a negative controlled substances and alcohol result from prior employer(s) for the past three-year period; No prior evidence of controlled substance use.</p>\n<p>• There must be no instance of refusal to submit to an alcohol or controlled substance test within the past three-year period, including pre-employment testing.</p>\n<p>• Must consent to a 10-year check on work history; Gaps of 30 days or more must be listed and explained; documentation may be requested; Discrepancies may prevent applications from being processed or withdrawal of the job offer.</p>\n<p>• Must have the ability to read and write the English language and also perform simple mathematical calculations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p>• Overtime may be necessary during peak periods; Must be able to work a varied schedule or travel based on need• Heavy work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, and 100+ lbs. on an occasional basis• Subject to both internal and external environmental conditions: work occurs inside and outside; Outside work may be in extreme weather conditions• Subject to: standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching for sustained periods of time• Subject to noise: there is sufficient noise to require shouting in order to be heard above the ambient noise level• Subject to hazards: includes a variety of physical working conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and exposure to chemicals• Subject to atmospheric conditions: one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dusts, mists and gases• Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operate machines and motor vehicles• The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eye</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Dohrn Transfer Company, LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
