(Based on Experience)</p>\n<p>Location: Johns Hopkins Care at Home Central Fill Pharmacy  </p>\n<p>Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting central pharmacists and technicians in the delivery of medications and pharmaceutical products under direct supervision of a Pharmacist. Documents and updates documentation on various pharmaceutical products that are loaded in the automated dispensing machines. Communicates with pharmacy staff and nurses about medication when necessary and appropriate.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and medication orders.</li>\n <li>Assist in the preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounds.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate records, including labeling, documentation, and tracking of medications.</li>\n <li>Support inventory management by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.</li>\n <li>Deliver medications to patient care areas following established procedures.</li>\n <li>Monitor expiration dates and remove expired medications from inventory.</li>\n <li>Handle hazardous medications in compliance with safety policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Communicate effectively with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare team members.</li>\n <li>Report medication errors or potential issues in accordance with guidelines.</li>\n <li>Maintain and clean pharmacy equipment and automation systems.</li>\n <li>Participate in ongoing education and training program.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED required.</li>\n <li><p>6 months of Hospital Pharmacy Technician experience required.</p></li>\n <li><p>Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with state of Maryland.</p></li>\n <li><p>Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)  required.</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintains continuing education requirements</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Johns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
