Mechanical Design Engineer Data Center Facilities Valhalla, USA-NY or Los Angeles, USA-CA Full-time At Ramboll, you will find a dedicated group of professionals that are pioneers and leaders in Data Center Strategy, Planning, Design, Integration, Commissioning and Testing with Experience working in thousands of data centers in the U.S. territory and across the globe. We provide a broad set of services for enterprise, institutional, webscale, service provider and colocation companies. Our team of consultants assist clients in understanding how to bring data closer to their own customers, bringing all components of IT and the facility together, and enable rapid deployment of a solution that achieves critical objectives. Responsibilities for Mid-level Mechanical Engineer: The successful candidate shall be able to work independently with minimal supervision from a Sr. Mechanical engineer for tasks as follows: Plan, conceptualize, and create HVAC mechanical designs for new and retrofit buildings/projects in the mission critical environment Duct design/piping design experience Central plant cooling design Perform typical HVAC engineering calculations to support design work Create technical drawings, plans, and specifications (using computer software) for review by Sr. Engineer Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors Ensure project timelines are met and project stays within budget Able to travel to project sites Qualifications for Mechanical Engineer Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering EIT/PE a plus 5 years (min) of experience working for a design engineering firm, Mission Critical design experience a plus Firm grasp of engineering concepts including theoretical and practical applications for HVAC Systems Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office programs Ability to communicate effectively and clearly Must be self-motivated and know project design steps/requirements Why Join Ramboll?
