Description

Lead a dedicated crisis services team and help expand access to life-changing behavioral health support in communities where it is needed most. Primarily Monday-Friday, with some evenings and weekends, as needed. The Director of Behavioral Health Crisis Center provides operational, clinical, and strategic leadership for an assigned Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC). This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered crisis services while fostering strong community partnerships, supporting staff development, and advancing access to behavioral healthcare across the region. The Director works collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to strengthen crisis response systems, improve outcomes, and support individuals on their path to wellness and recovery. Provide leadership and oversight for the daily operations, clinical services, and performance of an assigned Behavioral Health Crisis Center. Ensure timely, high-quality, and effective crisis response services that support positive outcomes for individuals and families. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and key stakeholders. Monitor program quality, service utilization, outcomes, and regulatory compliance to support continuous improvement. Lead staffing, scheduling, employee development, and team performance initiatives. Collaborate with regional crisis center leaders and organizational partners to address service needs, improve care coordination, and share best practices. Support program growth, community outreach efforts, and strategic initiatives that enhance access to behavioral healthcare services. Utilize data and performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Participate in organizational, community, and state-level meetings related to crisis services and behavioral healthcare. Master’s degree in nursing or a human service field required At least four (4) years experience in a human service or nursing field required Experience in human service/nursing management required A valid, unrestricted driver’s license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required Licensure/Certification: A current, active clinical license in the state of Missouri (PLPC, LMSW, PLMFT, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT as applicable) or a current, active Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred Must obtain and maintain current CPR certification within 60 days of hire Must obtain and maintain certification in an approved crisis intervention methodology (CPI, MANDT, or CALM) within 60 days of hire You'll be a great fit for this role if you: Are passionate about improving access to behavioral healthcare and crisis services.
