They are responsible for the evaluation and optimization of energy consumption for commercial buildings and applicable systems.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Frequently interact with clients, contractors, and engineers to fulfill the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.</li>\n <li>Analyzes, develops and evaluates systems.</li>\n <li>Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects.</li>\n <li>Designs and drafts blueprints, visits systems in the field and manages projects.</li>\n <li>Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.</li>\n <li>Energy Procurement and Analytics\n  <ul>\n   <li>Collect, compile, organize, and analyze utility consumption data and rates.</li>\n   <li>Develop a comprehensive understanding of utility supply-side opportunities.</li>\n   <li>Develop a comprehensive understanding of utility procurement logistics.</li>\n   <li>Develop a comprehensive understanding of possible utility energy efficiency rebate and incentive programs.</li>\n   <li>Research utility rate changes and deregulated energy cost trends.</li>\n   <li>Conduct energy benchmarks using internal and external tools such as EPA Energy Star.</li>\n   <li>Review utility invoices for errors and work to resolve the errors with the utility.</li>\n   <li>Create utility budgets.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Energy Auditing\n  <ul>\n   <li>Collect, review, and analyze data from field surveys and utility data.</li>\n   <li>Develop a thorough understanding of existing building and its MEP systems.</li>\n   <li>Identify and evaluate improvements for energy or cost reductions.</li>\n   <li>Develop associated technical reports.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Measurement and Verification\n  <ul>\n   <li>Develop and Implement IPVMP - Adherent Measurement and Verification (M&V) Plans.</li>\n   <li>Develop energy consumption baselines and adjustments through regression analysis and other appropriate methods.</li>\n   <li>Coordinate with clients, utility representatives, energy analysts, engineers, construction managers, and commission agents during all appropriate project stages to assist in the design and implementation of M&V plans for continuous monitoring of energy and water performance.</li>\n   <li>Review design documents, M&E specifications, and shop drawings of applicable metering systems to confirm all M&V requirements are met.</li>\n   <li>Verify utility performance of facilities and validate savings.</li>\n   <li>Review and analyze energy performance including data collection, utility bill accounting, sub-metering data analysis, and utility cost analysis.</li>\n   <li>Create, maintain, and distribute M&V dashboards and reports through multiple software platforms.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Remote Monitoring\n  <ul>\n   <li>Collect and evaluate energy, weather, and building automation data on some periodic basis.</li>\n   <li>Review data and identify facility operational issues affecting energy consumption, comfort, and/or code compliance.</li>\n   <li>Develop recommendations to address any identified operational issues.</li>\n   <li>Prepare reports for project stakeholders summarizing all discoveries.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Energy Modeling\n  <ul>\n   <li>Develop engineering-based energy models to simulate existing and proposed operations of buildings or systems.</li>\n   <li>Work collaboratively with team members to identify and evaluate scope of potential improvements.</li>\n   <li>Develop life cycle cost analyses and other engineering economic analyses.</li>\n   <li>Develop supporting documentation on engineering calculations, methodologies, etc. as required.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Other\n  <ul>\n   <li>Uphold the Company owner advocacy philosophy, mission, and core values.</li>\n   <li>Perform the assigned duties with minimal supervision, while working in a team problem-solving environment.</li>\n   <li>Develop technical reports or related documents.</li>\n   <li>Mentor and train Energy Analysts and Senior Energy Analysts as required.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h4>Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.</li>\n <li>3+ Years of Experience in a related field.</li>\n <li>Registered Professional Engineer.</li>\n <li>Experience with energy savings projects.</li>\n <li>Experience with life cycle cost analyses.</li>\n <li>Experience in analyzing utility data.</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.</li>\n <li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications.</li>\n <li>Performs work under general supervision.</li>\n <li>Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.</li>\n <li>Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.</li>\n <li>May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.</li>\n <li>Critical thinking skills.</li>\n <li>Problem solving skills.</li>\n <li>Mathematic skills.</li>\n <li>Computer skills.</li>\n <li>Technical expertise.</li>\n <li>Effective verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.</li>\n <li>Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with energy modeling software.</li>\n <li>Experience with building automation systems.</li>\n <li>Experience with energy efficiency programs.</li>\n <li>Experience with data analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Python, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook, or R.</li>\n <li>CEM, CMVP, CEP, CEA, EEP, or BEP certifications through the Association of Energy Engineers or equivalent.</li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Travel Requirements</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>5-10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.</li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Physical Activities</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Climbing stairs.</li>\n <li>Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods</li>\n <li>Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers</li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Environmental Conditions</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Quiet environment</li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Physical Demands</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Range</h2>USD $103,175.00 -
