    "description": "<h2>Job Description & Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Persistent Systems is looking for a talented Hardware Engineer with extensive experience in circuit design for battery powered and high-speed (Ghz) digital devices.  The position involves the design, development, and prototyping of electronic assemblies for next generation products and/or upgrades to current products.  Responsibilities also include developing documentation, testing, and technical support to manufacturing. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Responsibilities</strong>  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Define system and circuit level requirements </li>\n <li>Design circuits, perform analysis/simulations, and create schematics/BOMs </li>\n <li>Identify all necessary components and equipment to support the product design process </li>\n <li>Perform PCB stack-up design, layout and routing, and generation of the full manufacturing file package to build circuit board prototypes. </li>\n <li>Interface with Mechanical Engineering to ensure all packaging and thermal constraints are met </li>\n <li>Establish hardware and software test environments and infrastructure </li>\n <li>Develop the concept prototypes and conduct DVT to verify system performance </li>\n <li>Provide technical leadership for projects developed by sub-contractors </li>\n <li>Ensure tasks are delivered on time and within the performance, cost and reliability targets </li>\n <li>Provide technical support to manufacturing </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Job Qualifications & Experience </h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 5 years’ experience with digital and analog circuit design </li>\n <li>Familiar with methods of the design of high-speed hardware </li>\n <li>Knowledge of design for signal integrity </li>\n <li>Knowledge of internal and external data buses such as SPI, I2C, LAN, USB, PCIe, etc. </li>\n <li>Familiar with worst-case and statistical error analysis </li>\n <li>Power management design </li>\n <li>Applicant must have a security clearance or able to obtain a security clearance </li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong>  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exposure to Embedded Firmware Development in Assembly, C and/or C++ </li>\n <li>Experience in electromagnetic capability (EMC) testing and design </li>\n <li>Familiar with switching mode power supply design </li>\n <li>Knowledge of military qualification testing </li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li>\n <li>Excellent task management skills </li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The base pay for this role can vary from $150,000 to $170,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
