With a combined legacy of resilience, Magnera will build personal partnerships that withstand an ever-changing world.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures, and applicable laws. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Actively participate in risk assessment activities for their area of responsibility.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Actively participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis and support implemented corrective actions. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Participate in safety observation programs as required. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Create and maintain a team effort attitude and team approach with mainline team and cross functional personnel </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Understand and fully utilize all ISO procedures </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Meet productivity standards </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Complete required documentation-  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Example: Patrols, housekeeping sheets, Railcar and Flake transfers, etc </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Troubleshoot issues with quality or productivity related to the team or the machine </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Make adjustments to machinery as needed-  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Example: Color and flake additive checks, Extruder heating checks, process settings, etc </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Suggest improvements to processes or procedures </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinate with maintenance, Team Leader and Engineering for issues and improvements   </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform 6S and other housekeeping duties required for clean and safe work environment </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Train others as needed </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Additional duties as assigned </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent required </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Forklift Certification </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 2 years manufacturing experience preferred.  Lift Truck experience preferred </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>COMPETENCIES:</strong> </p>\n<p><strong>Communication – </strong>Presents ideas/facts clearly and concisely in oral or written format.  Listens well and asks the right questions. Ability to tactfully yet assertively state position and possess the persuasiveness to obtain leader agreement. Must possess and display integrity.  Written communication clear and concise. </p>\n<p><strong>Creativity – </strong>Can adapt/transfer new methods or ideas to situations to maximize results. </p>\n<p><strong>Integrity – </strong>Takes responsibility for mistakes, respects confidentiality, completes commitments on time </p>\n<p><strong>Team & Winning Spirit – </strong>Ability to work effectively with others to achieve goals.  Understands goals of the group.  Has a desire to excel but competitive nature does not detract from effectively working within a team environment; acts to promote a friendly climate, good morale and cooperation. </p>\n<p><strong>Time Management – </strong>Makes effective use of time.  Has sense of timing and orderly process.   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong> </p>\n<p>The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   </p>\n<p><strong><em>Physical demands</em></strong><em>:  </em>Employee must have 20/20 vision corrected in both eyes, to discern various color graphics and color matches.  Employee must be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts.  Employee must be qualified to operate powered industrial trucks and pass Forklift License Program.  Employee must be able to climb, bend, stoop and crawl.   Employee must be able to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly and 50 pounds occasionally.  Required to frequently ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs over extremely fast moving machinery.  Required to safely access fast moving machinery which includes rolls with inward nip points.     </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Work environment</em></strong>:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time; dust; heat; humidity, odors.  The noise level in the work environment varies and hearing protection is required in some work areas.
