You will be part of a company that cares about you as an individual and aims to provide meaningful project opportunities and career development in a team-focused yet autonomous work environment.</p><p>The responsibilities for the position of Senior Water Resources Engineer include:</p><ul><li>Mentoring team members and overseeing work of others in the Water Resources group, including design calculations, plan development, and agency design requirements.</li><li>Providing independent technical reviews to ensure project quality control processes are followed.</li><li>Managing Water Resources projects and tasks by utilizing communication, initiative, and follow through skills.</li><li>Leveraging engineering knowledge and CADD technology to develop drainage plans and documents for transportation projects that meet project goals and adhere to applicable design standards.</li><li>Technical writing, including memorandums, feasibility studies, applicable permits, and regulatory submittals.</li><li>Documenting all design work and procedures; assisting with development and organization of documentation from other Water Resources team members.</li><li>Assisting with project procurement, scoping, and budget development.</li><li>Evolving innovation, best practices, and efficiency within Water Resources and across Isthmus.</li><li>Evidencing continued commitment to individual, company, and industry improvement.</li></ul><p>The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:</p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or graduate degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.</li><li>Registration as a Professional Engineer in Minnesota, or ability to obtain the same within six months.</li><li>Eight or more years of experience in urban and rural drainage and Best Management Practice design (10 or more years of experience and MnDOT experience preferred).</li><li>Experience with Geopak Drainage and/or OpenRoads Designer, HydroCAD, HY-8, and other related hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, modeling, and design software.</li></ul><p>The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following skills:</p><ul><li>Ability to communicate effectively.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to maintain productivity in an autonomous environment.</li><li>Positive team-focused attitude.</li></ul><p>Please provide detailed project experience, including specific roles and tasks for at least three projects in your resume.</p><p>Isthmus welcomes candidates looking for a full-time, part-time, or customized work schedule.</p><p>Isthmus welcomes candidates looking for office or hybrid work locations.</p><p><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>The anticipated base salary range for this position is $105,000-$135,000/year for a 40-hour base work week.
