The Heavy Equipment Mechanic performs all functions pertaining to the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty off-road construction equipment. This position allows for career progression into a Lead Man or Maintenance Manager.</div><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Pay:</strong> $25.00 + an hour (based on experience) + $2.00 an hour shift differential for night shift</div><div><strong>Shift/Schedule:</strong> Night shift 5:45pm-6:00am, 4 days on/4 days off</div><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Benefits</strong></div><div><ul><li>Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability</li><li>Year round, non-weather dependent employment</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs</li><li>Student Loan Repayment Program</li><li>Employee Referral Program</li></ul></div><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Responsibilities</strong></div><div>The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will:</div><div><ul><li>Comply with all safety regulations, policies, and record-keeping</li><li>Dismantle and reassemble trucks, machines, and equipment to gain access to the problem area</li><li>Maintain work area to allow safe movement and access</li><li>Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions</li><li>Read schematics</li><li>Utilize diagnostic software to troubleshoot malfunctions</li><li>Weld, cut, and fabricate equipment and components</li><li>Meet customer service expectations</li></ul></div><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Skills</strong></div><div>The ideal candidate will have:</div><div><ul><li>Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude</li><li>Knowledge of off-road heavy equipment</li><li>Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, braking systems, electrical systems, drivelines, steering mechanisms, and suspensions</li><li>Tier IV Emissions experience&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of equipment</li><li>Ability to manipulate components in hard to reach places with hands or tools</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Valid Driver’s License</li><li>Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul></div><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>To Apply</strong></div><div>Please submit your resume.
