    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINICIAN &ndash; OUTPATIENT CLINICS</u></strong></p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under the general supervision of the VP of Direct Clinical Services, the Behavioral Health Specialist &ndash; Outpatient Clinics provides intakes, assessments, treatment, psychotherapy, and referrals to a broad range of individuals. &nbsp;This includes meeting regularly with members, creating individualized treatment plans and providing therapeutic and crisis intervention services.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Diagnoses and treats mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.&nbsp;</li><li>Provides assessments, treatments, psychotherapy, and referrals to a broad range of members. &nbsp;</li><li>Determines the status of member&rsquo;s mental health by using medical information, interviews, observation, and testing, as well as collaboration with other staff members.</li><li>Reviews results of psychological evaluations.</li><li>Reviews evaluations from community providers to assess member needs.&nbsp;</li><li>Creates individualized treatment plans that include goals and objectives for each member.</li><li>Plans and administers therapeutic treatment, behavior modification, and evidence-based practices to assist members in their recovery.&nbsp;</li><li>Meets with members regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.&nbsp;</li><li>Conducts ongoing assessments of&nbsp;member&rsquo;s progress and adjusts treatment plans.</li><li>Recommends community services or specialists for clients and family members in need of referral services.</li><li>Discusses progress toward goals and objectives, such as medication regimen, family relationships, educational programs, social development, discharge plans or other behavioral problems, with clients.&nbsp;</li><li>Consults external community providers concerning treatment plans and coordination of care.&nbsp;</li><li>Acts as a member advocate to coordinate required services.</li><li>Resolves emergency problems in crisis situations.&nbsp;</li><li>Conducts initial family assessments and refers members, or family members, to community resources or to specialists as necessary.&nbsp;</li><li>Counsels&rsquo; members, individually and in group sessions, to assist them in coping strategies and resiliency.&nbsp;</li><li>Provides individual and family counseling services using family management counseling techniques.</li><li>Prepares and maintains all required treatment records and reports.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA&rsquo;S)</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Knowledge of DWIHN policies, procedures, and practices.</li><li>Knowledge of the DWIHN provider network and community resources.</li><li>Knowledge of the Michigan Mental Health Code.</li><li>Knowledge of MDHHS policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.</li><li>Knowledge of Federal policies, rules, regulations, and procedures as it relates to DWIHN.</li><li>Knowledge of the LOCUS model &amp;
