He/she will join one of the Software Development Teams and get hands-on experience with the technology stack used and work on projects along with the rest of the team. Opportunity to work on client/server or N-tier architectures.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location: </span>Malta only</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Who qualifies?</span> First year university students (or students who will be starting their first year in October) and are/will be reading for a BSc in Computer Science or related discipline.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Hours:</span> Full-time in summer, part-time in winter (where possible).</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Job Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conducts research and technology exploration as required to address any present or future projects.</li>\n<li>Participates in analysis and design activities to produce a viable system design that fits within the overall system architecture whilst addressing all the elicited requirements.</li>\n<li>Follows established development and testing procedures to ensure quality software development which meets the requirements whilst adhering to the proposed design and any stipulated timelines.</li>\n<li>Creates and maintains documentation regarding systems being developed to ensure long-term maintainability.</li>\n<li>Make use of company standard source control and defect/task tracking software to effectively handle configuration management and defect fixing issues.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Skills and Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eager to learn about software development practices and lifecycles.</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP).</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of Java or C# and ANSI SQL; Java highly preferred.</li>\n<li>Driven, creative, and results oriented.</li>\n<li>Proficient in written and spoken English.</li>\n</ul>",
