Description
As a Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at Honeywell, you will serve as a technical leader responsible for driving key manufacturing processes within aerospace component production. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, performance, and operational efficiency , with a strong focus on advanced turbine engine coating technologies .
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role with significant technical ownership and influence—providing leadership and guidance to engineering teams without direct people management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
Own and lead end-to-end advanced manufacturing processes , with focus on: Process development, parameters, and optimization Tooling design and qualification Maintenance and inspection criteria Customer approvals and compliance Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process stability, product quality, and operational efficiency Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and cross-functional teams Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to support production goals Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, safety regulations, and industry requirements Support integration and advancement of manufacturing technologies (e.g., automation, advanced processing methods) 🛠️ Core Technical Focus
Aerospace special process manufacturing Thermal barrier coatings , including ceramic or aluminizing technologies Preferred specialization in EBPVD (Electron Beam Physical Vapor Deposition) This role includes full technical ownership of coating processes , directly impacting product performance and customer requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or 10+ years of EBPVD Thermal Coating Engineering experience. Proven experience in advanced manufacturing and process optimization within aerospace or highly regulated industries Strong expertise in thermal coating technologies (ceramic and aluminizing) Experience in data analysis and process control (e.g., statistical process control) Demonstrated ability to operate in a technical leadership capacity Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills Preferred Qualifications
Direct hands-on experience with EBPVD coating processes Experience in highly regulated aerospace manufacturing environments Master’s degree in Engineering or related field Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies (automation, robotics) Strong project management and continuous improvement experience Six Sigma Black Belt Team & Work Environment
