SUMMARY : Collaborate closely with the classroom and special education teachers, counselors, and admin. Push into classrooms to support individual students within the general education environment, providing supplemental instruction and supporting work completion with individual identified students or groups of students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Provide one-on-one or small group support to identified students throughout the school day in various settings (i.e. classroom, calming space, recess, lunch etc.).
2. Provide supplemental academic instruction as needed.
3. Adhere to and help execute a detailed behavior intervention plan.
4. Support classroom teachers with classroom duties including but not limited to grading, filing, small group teaching, etc
5. Monitors and supervises students during teacher breaks, lunch, recess, time-outs, etc.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
