This role focuses on ensuring civil engineering designs and construction activities comply with ADA, ABAAS, and other accessibility standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Apply through this site or send resume to [email protected].</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Salary:</strong></p>\n<p>Salary is commensurate with experience, ranging from $120,000 to $220,000 anually.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and conduct reviews of civil, architectural, and engineering designs, specifications, and construction plans to ensure compliance with ADA, ABAAS, and other accessibility regulations.</li>\n <li>Perform field inspections, audits, and on-site assessments of WMATA stations, facilities, and infrastructure to verify accessibility compliance.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate accessibility solutions and resolve field-related compliance issues.</li>\n <li>Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and recommendations for corrective actions on non-compliant elements.</li>\n <li>Advise project teams on best practices for accessible design, construction, and execution.</li>\n <li>Develop and support quality assurance procedures to ensure accessibility compliance throughout all project phases, including design, construction, and closeout.</li>\n <li>Stay current with federal, state, and local accessibility standards and regulations, and apply them to project planning and execution.</li>\n <li>Support training and awareness initiatives to promote ADA compliance across project teams.</li>\n <li>Attend required meetings and perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a closely related field.</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.</li>\n <li>Minimum 5–10 years of experience in civil engineering, ADA compliance, accessibility review, or quality assurance for public infrastructure or transit projects (8–10 years preferred for senior-level roles).</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge and in-depth understanding of ADA, ABAAS, UFAS, and other accessibility guidelines.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in civil engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar)</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; resulting in proper documentation, reporting, and use of field inspection tools.</li>\n <li>Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations effectively</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience working on WMATA or similar transit agency projects highly preferred.</li>\n <li>Certification as an Accessibility Specialist (e.g., CASp, ADA Coordinator Training Certification).</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>M&J is a leader in providing quality engineering consulting services to a diverse and exciting client base.
