In this role, you will be an integral part of the team that manages Yelp’s third-party technology partnerships and leads contract negotiations for software, hardware, and infrastructure tools.This is a unique opportunity to work with every team across Yelp and to have a direct impact on the company’s trajectory. Your focus will be to support the adoption of technology for both corporate tools and systems as well as production environments and partnerships that bring our product to customers and consumers alike.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This opportunity has the option to be fully remote and available in the following states and cities (\"Eligible Locations\"): Alaska (Except Anchorage), Alabama, Arizona (Except PHX), Arkansas, Boise, Colorado (Except Denver), Florida (Except MIA/Orlando), Georgia (Except ATL), Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas City, Kentucky, Louisiana, Louisville, Minnesota (Except Minneapolis), Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, New Orleans, North Carolina (Except Raleigh & Charlotte), North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania (Except PGH & PHI), South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas (Except AUS/DFW/SAN/HOU), Utah (Except SLC), West Virginia, Wisconsin (Except Milwaukee) and Wyoming.</p>\n<h2>What you'll do:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead full cycle technology sourcing projects including strategy, identifying the right potential partners, outreach, competitive bidding, pricing & contract negotiation, and contract approval.</li>\n <li>Build sound relationships with external vendor partners and internal business collaborators.</li>\n <li>Handle multiple projects simultaneously—from quick contract renewals to in-depth new strategic partnerships.</li>\n <li>Organize a large database of partnerships, be data-driven, and provide clear reporting back to management on the status of renewals or other important contract terms.</li>\n <li>Analyze spend and other data to solve problems, monitor purchasing activity, and conduct benchmarking.</li>\n <li>Ensure that all contracts are executed & cataloged, and that approved payments reflect contractual terms.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What it takes to succeed:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Solid understanding of Technology Vendor Management and Sourcing (software, hardware, telco, or datacenter).</li>\n <li>Ability to credibly maneuver a wide range of projects spanning the business that are often highly technical in nature.</li>\n <li>Analytical experience grounded in solid business/finance fundamentals.</li>\n <li>Outstanding communication skills in all forms—written, presentation and negotiation.</li>\n <li>Ability to collaborate effectively with C-suite & senior executives as well as seasoned supplier partners.</li>\n <li>Enthusiasm to embrace diverse & dispersed teams across the company on a daily basis.</li>\n <li>B.S. degree or equivalent experience.</li>\n <li>Preferably 4 years (or more) of technology sourcing related work experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What you'll get:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience.
