Overview After School Program Leader Status: Part-Time Days: Monday to Friday Hours: 12:30pm-6:00pm Pay Rate: $22.43/hour Now Hiring for Fall 2026 Programs JOB SUMMARY: This position is part of a “temp-to-hire” pathway in partnership with the school district. As a California Schools Talent Collaborative (CSTC) employee, you will be placed at a school site as an Instructional Provider for an initial period of three months. During this time, you will be expected to apply for an equivalent position with the district and complete the district’s formal hiring process. Upon successful completion of that process and a minimum of three months of service with CSTC, you will be eligible to transition into direct employment with the district. Under the direction of the Expanded Learning Site Supervisor, facilitate and implement Instructional Provider program activities; provide assigned instruction for TK-12 students; provide supervision of programs students. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Work with and instruct TK-12 students individually and/or in small and large groups, while maintaining appropriate program rations. • Implement effective classroom management, discipline and instructional strategies. • Set up activities on a daily basis; prepare and duplicate materials and operate instructional equipment. • Monitor and evaluate the instruction and the student's progress. • Maintain daily attendance sign-in/sign-out log and other records as required. • Maintain the classroom or learning facility in a clean, organized and healthful manner; storage of materials is required on a daily basis. • Supervise students in and out of classroom during various school activities. • Maintain frequent and regular parent communication and support parent involvement. • Attend staff meetings/planning/training sessions on a weekly basis or as required. • Perform job related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • A minimum of 48 Semester/60 Quarter College Units or pass NCLB test. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: • Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting). • Provide a clear TB test. • Reliable transportation is required to meet the needs of the position. • While driving is not a regular requirement of this role, employees who operate a personal or company vehicle for work purposes must maintain a valid driver's license and current auto insurance on file with HR. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF: • Curriculum and instructional strategies appropriate to the assigned responsibility. • Correct oral and written usage of English Basic grammar, spelling, punctuation and math. • Basic grammar, spelling, punctuation and math. • Simple record-keeping and filing techniques. • Diversity of community, city and school District cultures and languages. ABILITY TO: • Demonstrate oral and written proficiency in English. • Implement effective instructional school activities in the classroom. • Learn the procedures and functions of assigned duties. • Understand and follow oral and written directions. • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. • Learn, understand and apply rules, regulations, procedures and policies. • Understand and be sensitive to the needs and culture of TK-12 students. • Work confidentially with discretion. • Perform simple clerical duties. • Perform the essential functions of the job. WORKING CONDITIONS: ENVIRONMENT: • Indoor/outdoor Classroom and Playground environment. • Moderate noise (examples: typical school noise with children at play). PHYSICAL ABILITIES: • Seeing to monitor student work and read materials. • Hearing and speaking accurately to exchange information. • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate instructional equipment. • Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching to assist students. • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time. • Lifting or moving objects, normally not exceeding thirty (30) pounds. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: • Must be available M-F for the entire shift schedule.
