    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Shermco Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Reading, PA office. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide engineering related design, analysis and studies for domestic or international projects.</li>\n <li>Conduct short-circuit, protective device coordination and arc-flash studies.</li>\n <li>Perform power factor analysis and correction, harmonic modeling and analysis, and grounding analysis.</li>\n <li>Occasionally interact with customers to gather critical information and review engineering plans.</li>\n <li>Occasionally work in the field under the direction of Field Services team on shut-down, startup and maintenance projects.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, but at least 2 years relevant experience would be accepted.</li>\n <li>Experience in short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash and power quality studies PREFFERED.</li>\n <li>Must have experience using SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EZPower, or other power system modeling software.</li>\n <li>Must have knowledge of low, medium and high-voltage up to 500 kV.</li>\n <li>Must be able to clearly communicate in English via verbal and written methods and be comfortable doing so directly to customers and co-workers.</li>\n <li>Field experience with substations or switchgear highly desirable.</li>\n <li>Utility design experience a plus.</li>\n <li>Availability for occasional domestic and international travel a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER | DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE</strong></p>\n<p>Shermco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
