With supportive leadership, collaborative teams, and opportunities to grow, GUARD is a place where people build meaningful, long‑term careers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Good Things You Can Count On.</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Hybrid schedule: 2 days remote / 3 in‑office</li>\n <li>Predictable hours (no nights, weekends, or holidays)</li>\n <li>Competitive pay + generous PTO</li>\n <li>Medical, dental & vision starting day one</li>\n <li>401(k), tuition reimbursement & longevity bonuses</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is seeking a Complex Liability Adjuster to handle Commercial General Liability (CGL) and Business Owners Policy (BOP) claims, including litigated files.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>What You’ll Do</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Handle CGL and BOP claims from initial investigation through resolution</li>\n <li>Manage litigated claims in coordination with defense counsel and vendors</li>\n <li>Review policy language and determine coverage, liability, and damages</li>\n <li>Develop and implement claim handling and resolution plans</li>\n <li>Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate claim documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements</li>\n <li>Communicate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and internal teams</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience handling commercial liability claims, including litigated CGL and BOP claims</li>\n <li>Experience analyzing coverage and policy language</li>\n <li>JD preferred, or bachelor’s degree with experience adjusting litigated liability claims</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple claims and competing priorities</li>\n <li>Experience using claims systems and standard business tools</li>\n <li><p>Licensing Requirement: Candidates must hold an active adjuster license or be willing and able to obtain and maintain all required state licenses. The company will support the licensing process, including training and compliance with ongoing continuing education requirements.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Salary $70,000 - $115,000 </strong></p>\n<p><strong>In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, this range represents a good</strong><strong>‐faith estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, credentials, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This role may be based out of any of our office locations, including:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>New York, NY; Parsippany, NJ; Conshohocken, PA; Wilkes‑Barre, PA; Alpharetta, GA; Rosemont, IL; Plano, TX; and Scottsdale, AZ.</strong></p>",
