    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>We're Hiring:</strong> Cook<strong>Location: M Laurel, NJ</strong><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Non-Exempt, Full Time<strong>Department: Education</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Hourly Rate: $19.53- $24.00</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Position Summary:Provides assistance to the Lead Cook in the preparation and serving of food to students/persons served that meetsapproved quality, nutrition, health, and safety regulations and requirements.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Under the guidance of Manager/Food Services and following specific menu and preparation instructions,  provides assistance in the preparation of daily meals for students/persons served in the Bancroft School; e.g.,  prepares salads and sandwiches; stirs soups; prepares starches; washes, peels, and slices fruits and  vegetables; seasons, grinds, and carves meats, etc., in a safe and sanitary manner. </li>\n<li> Prepares food for serving, arranges serving trays, and replenishes serving lines as necessary, to ensure the  availability of prepared foods throughout the course of the meal. </li>\n<li> Reviews production schedule to determine food requirements including variety and quantity of food for  preparation and to assemble supplies and equipment needed for daily cooking activities.  </li>\n<li> Properly operates, cleans, and sanitizes kitchen work area, countertops, equipment, supplies, and tools to  ensure a safe and healthy work environment at all times. </li>\n<li> Properly stores food, leftovers, etc., in accordance with approved food storage and refrigeration requirements. </li>\n<li> Participates in the preparation and serving of foods for special catered events sponsored by Bancroft; e.g., Board  meetings, special conferences, committee meetings, etc.; as required.  </li>\n<li> Projects a positive self-image of technical professionalism, appearance, confidentiality, courtesy, conduct,  honesty, fairness, and personal integrity at all times.  </li>\n<li> Performs other food service and food preparation activities, as required.
