    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">The American Liver Foundation (ALF) is the nation&rsquo;s leading non-profit organization dedicated to liver health and disease prevention. ALF promotes education, advocacy, support services, and research to prevent, treat, and cure liver disease.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Frontline fundraising position responsible for developing relationships with major donors to support ALF&#39;s impact.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Research new donors, solicit new and existing donors, and promote year-round stewardship.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">This position reports to the National Vice President, Development, and is part of a dynamic development team.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Serve as a contributing member of ALF&rsquo;s National Leadership Team.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Effectively represent ALF, its mission, and values to all stakeholders, including the general public.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain ongoing communication with individuals in a major gift assigned portfolio to secure resources to support ALF&rsquo;s programmatic initiatives.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Coordinate major gift strategies in the assigned portfolio, including significantly growing the individual prospect pool of donors with capacity of $1,000+, effectively using moves management tools.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Focus on donor prospects utilizing the Wealth Engine tool.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct the full range of activities required to write, prepare, submit, and manage proposals to major donors.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Develop and send regular, personalized stewardship communications to send to the portfolio of donors.</li><li>Engage donors in meetings, with an expectation to hold 4+ donor meetings per month in person and/or via phone/video conference.</li><li>Complete pre-call planner before meetings to plan strategy; capture notes and next steps in database.&nbsp;</li><li>Serve as a knowledgeable representative of ALF&rsquo;s programs, services, and research awards.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with leadership and staff to set goals and determine organizational needs.</li><li>Maintain excellent relationships with the donors and expand relationships where possible.</li><li>Actively participate in learning opportunities for professional growth and self-improvement.</li><li>Prepare monthly progress reports.</li><li>Attend ALF meetings, programs, and events when requested.</li><li>All other duties as required.</li></ol></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong><strong><u>SUPERVISION:</u></strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">No direct reports at this time.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>POSITION REQUIREMENTS:</u></strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or equivalent in education, training, and experience.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Experience/Skills/Knowledge:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">A minimum of 2-3 years of frontline fundraising experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the minimum requirements for the position.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proven track record of sales success in a non-profit environment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience working with major gifts over $1,000.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be an action-oriented individual and comfortable taking risks.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated capabilities delivering compelling presentations and proposals a must.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Exceptional organizational skills.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Exhibit keen attention to detail, including follow-through and follow-up.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrate an ability to work with diverse personalities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Be able to set and keep to internal deadlines.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Have drive and passion for community and donor development.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Be a creative thinker and contributor.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong self-confidence but also a team player.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge and experience with donor databases</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Work Environment</strong>:</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends.&nbsp;Expected travel 5-10% when it is safe to do so.
