    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, program, and maintain automation and control systems.</li>\n <li>Lead capital automation projects from concept through implementation.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.</li>\n <li>Improve equipment reliability, productivity, and process performance.</li>\n <li>Provide technical support for troubleshooting and system optimization.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Job Duties</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, machine vision systems, and related controls.</li>\n <li>Create and maintain electrical schematics using CAD software.</li>\n <li>Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, equipment procurement, and commissioning activities.</li>\n <li>Design and support automation solutions for industrial manufacturing applications.</li>\n <li>Analyze equipment performance and implement process improvements.</li>\n <li>Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.</li>\n <li>Work with vendors and contractors to support automation initiatives.</li>\n <li>Maintain technical documentation and engineering records.</li>\n <li>Comply with all NOV, Quality, and HSE policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education and Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate or bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline required.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing automation and controls experience.</li>\n <li>Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC, HMI, and machine vision systems.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with CAD software for electrical schematic development.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated project management experience with successful implementation of capital projects.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of automation, manufacturing processes, quality systems, and continuous improvement practices.</li>\n <li>Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Veterans Welcome:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>At NOV Grant Prideco, we value the dedication, discipline, and skills that military veterans bring to the workforce.
