We also provide a 401(k) savings plan, Employee Assistance Program, a tuition reimbursement program, professional development and advancement opportunities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join our team, be part of the solution, support evolving innovations, and help us continue providing quality products, all while being supported by strong leadership and a comprehensive and competitive benefits program.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be familiar with cement process flow and equipment functions.</li>\n <li>Familiar with and be able to follow electrical, mechanical and plant safety rules.</li>\n <li>Able to use the storeroom system to locate spare parts and able to input work requests in the CMMS.</li>\n <li>Able to operate plant mobile equipment.</li>\n <li>Able to troubleshoot motors, transformers, electrical drives, starters, breakers, disconnects, electrical interlocks, temperature and pressure transmitters and similar devices.</li>\n <li>Familiar with instrumentation and electronic circuits.</li>\n <li>Familiar with PLC and PC programs and computer hardware.</li>\n <li>Able to read blueprints and schematic diagrams.</li>\n <li>Able to select and use proper tools and measuring devices.</li>\n <li>Able to use cutting torch.</li>\n <li>Familiar with safe rigging techniques.</li>\n <li>Understand plant power distribution and AC/DC circuits.</li>\n <li>Able to change out motors, fuses, electrical/mechanical valves, thermocouples, transducers and similar electrical and mechanical devices.</li>\n <li>Able to perform coupling alignments.</li>\n <li>Able to understand air pollution control device operation and perform normal maintenance.</li>\n <li>Should be familiar with different lubrications requirements of plant equipment.</li>\n <li>Any other activities requested by the Supervisor that is consistent with this job classification and not included above.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>CORE</strong><strong> COMPETENCIES</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Planning and Organizing Skills</li>\n <li>Decision Making</li>\n <li>Communication Skills (Oral & Written)</li>\n <li>Job Motivation</li>\n <li>Physical activity - coordinating hand and foot, maintaining a steady hand</li>\n <li>Manipulating objects by hand, fine movement with fingers</li>\n <li>Maintaining physical balance</li>\n <li>Making a fast reaction to sound signal</li>\n <li>Making a fast reaction to visual signal</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Sitting, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Twisting, Climbing, Crawling, Balancing, Bending (bending at the waist, lifting above the waist and lifting below the waist), Kneeling, Reaching, Grasping (use of both hands), Squatting, Repetitive Motions, Manipulative finger movements with both hands, Use of Wrists (Flexing or Rotating with both wrists), Use of both feet, Use of Arm Above Shoulder (needs both arms), Use of Arm Below Shoulder (needs both arms). Extended periods of time in same position, Confine space, Perform duties in all climates i.e. weather, extreme temperatures, Heights, Lift and carry up to 100 lbs., Work in dust, fumes, gases and chemicals.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Climbing is ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body ability is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion. Balancing is maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. This factor is important if the amount and kind or balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium. Stooping is bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
